Wong is not in the lineup Saturday against the White Sox.

Reese McGuire will start at catcher and bat ninth Saturday. Wong is 1-for-his-last-12 and the 27-year-old has also not reached base in the last three games.

O'Hoppe isn't in the Angels' lineup Saturday against the Twins, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

After belting a two-run homer during Friday's loss, O'Hoppe will get a day to rest while Chad Wallach starts behind the plate and bats eighth.

O'Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to Minnesota.

O'Hoppe brought the Angels to within three runs with his two-run shot to left field in the eighth inning, though the team's rally ultimately fell short. The long ball was the 12th of the season for the backstop, who missed nearly four months between late April and late August with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. O'Hoppe has struggled with a .189/.232/.443 slash line over 28 games since returning, though he's kept up the power with eight homers over that span.

Kelly went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Athletics.

Kelly has seen somewhat limited playing time since signing with the Tigers on Aug. 19. He hasn't done much to earn more either, batting .190 (8-for-42) over 15 games with his new team, with his homer Friday being his first as a Tiger. He has a .214/.270/.302 slash line with two long balls, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and one stolen base over 48 contests between Detroit and Arizona this season.

Langeliers went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Friday's 8-2 win over the Tigers.

Langeliers had gone just 1-for-15 over his last five games, though he homered in three of the four games before that. The catcher's sixth-inning blast Friday put the Athletics ahead for good. He's up to 21 long balls with 60 RBI, 50 runs scored, three stolen bases, 17 doubles, four triples and a .202/.264/.407 slash line through 129 contests overall.

Naylor departed Friday's game against the Orioles with a right thumb contusion, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Naylor was 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored before being replaced at catcher by David Fry leading into the top of the fifth inning. He should be considered day-to-day with what seems to be a minor injury.

Perez (concussion) is on track to be activated from the 7-day injured list when first eligible Sunday, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Perez was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Monday after taking a hard foul tip off his mask last weekend, but that seems to have been a precautionary move. He passed another concussion protocol test Friday and even went through a full workout. Logan Porter has been drawing the majority of starts at catcher for the Royals during Perez's absence.

Rogers isn't in the Tigers' lineup Friday against the Athletics.

Rogers will get a day off Friday after going 0-for-4 during Thursday's win over Oakland. Carson Kelly will start behind the plate in Rogers' place and bat eighth.

Langeliers isn't in Oakland's lineup Friday against Detroit.

Langeliers has gone just 1-for-15 with nine strikeouts over his last five games, so he'll sit in favor of Tyler Soderstrom as the A's look for more production from behind the plate.

Rutschman went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Guardians.

Rutschman has hit safely in five straight games, and he has at least one double in his last four contests. The catcher is slashing .273/.368/.430 with 19 home runs, 75 RBI, 82 runs scored, one stolen base and 29 doubles through 146 contests overall. After a stint as the leadoff hitter, Rutschman has returned to the No. 2 spot in the order.
