  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Goes deep again Monday

Perez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Reds.

Perez seems to be getting back on track with multiple hits, including a homer, in each of his last two games. Prior to his recent success, his last long ball came May 27. The catcher is slashing .275/.310/.513 with 14 homers, 37 RBI, 31 runs scored and 14 doubles through 60 contests as a fixture in the lineup. He's hit second in the last four games after batting third or fourth for much of the season.

  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Bases-clearing double in win

Langeliers went 1-for-3 with a three-run double and a run in a win over the Rays on Monday.

The young backstop set the table for the Athletics' season-high sixth straight win with his timely fifth-inning, base-loaded two-bagger, which snapped a scoreless tie. Langeliers has now reached safely in eight straight games, a stretch during which he sports a .280 average and .899 OPS across 29 plate appearances.

  • Chad Wallach C | ATH

Angels' Chad Wallach: Extends lead in 12th

Wallach went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run during Monday's victory over the Rangers.

Wallach didn't start the game but entered in the 10th inning as a defensive replacement. He got his first at-bat in the 12th and took advantage, smashing a two-run home run to extend the Angels' lead to 9-5. With Max Stassi (personal) and Logan O'Hoppe (shoulder) unavailable, Wallach continues to serve as the primary backup to Matt Thaiss and has seen sporadic playing time, slashing .273/.324/.515 with five home runs and 10 RBI across 27 games (71 plate appearances).

  • Tom Murphy C | SF

Mariners' Tom Murphy: Launches second homer

Murphy went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored in an 8-1 win over the Marlins on Monday.

Drawing his second start in three games with left-hander Jesus Luzardo on the mound for the Marlins, Murphy continued the extra-base-hit barrage that's been his trademark during his sparse opportunities this season. The veteran's eighth double of the season came off Luzardo, while his 408-foot shot to center in the eighth provided the final run of the game for either club. Ten of Murphy's 17 hits on the season have gone for extra bases, and his current .233 average represents his highest figure in the category since May 20.

  • Cal Raleigh C | SEA

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Remains out versus lefty

Raleigh is not in the starting lineup Monday versus the Marlins.

Raleigh will head to the bench as the Mariners face off with southpaw Jesus Luzardo on Monday. Tom Murphy will draw a second consecutive start behind the plate and bat eighth in the series opener with Miami.

  • Eric Haase C | SF

Tigers' Eric Haase: Day off Monday

Haase is not in the starting lineup Monday versus Atlanta, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Haase will take a seat after he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks. Jake Rogers will take over behind the plate and bat ninth in the series opener with Atlanta.

  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Homers in Sunday's loss

Perez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 11-3 loss to the Orioles.

Perez went 11 games between homers, and he hit just .186 (8-for-43) in that span. The catcher hit well for much of May, but he's struggled a bit with consistency at the plate to begin June. He has multiple hits in three games this month, but he's also gone 0-fer five times. For the season, he's slashing .273/.308/.502 with 13 homers, 36 RBI, 30 runs scored and 14 doubles over 59 contests.

  • Matt Thaiss C | BOS

Angels' Matt Thaiss: Knocks in three runs Sunday

Thaiss went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and three RBI in a 9-4 victory versus Seattle on Sunday.

Thaiss singled home a run in the first inning and notched two additional RBI with a double in the third. The catcher finished with his first multi-hit game since May 29 and tallied a campaign-high three RBI. Despite the big performance Sunday, Thaiss is still batting just .200 (5-for-25) so far in June.

  • Connor Wong C | BOS

Red Sox's Connor Wong: Gets Sunday off

Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

For the second day in a row, Wong will give way to Reese McGuire behind the dish. With McGuire sporting a .957 OPS over his past six games, the Red Sox seem to be making a concerted effort to keep him involved, even though Wong has been the better performer at the plate over the balance of the season.

  • Tom Murphy C | SF

Mariners' Tom Murphy: Timely knock after four-game layoff

Murphy went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in a win over the Angels on Saturday.

Making his first start in five games, Murphy extended the Mariners' lead to 4-2 with his fourth-inning single. The veteran backstop continues to find opportunities sparse behind Cal Raleigh, as he's appeared in just 23 of Seattle's 63 games. The lack of consistent playing time likely isn't helping Murphy's timing at the plate any -- he's carrying just a .217 average and .270 on-base percentage -- but it's worth noting he's knocked eight of his 15 hits for extra bases.
