Jeffers isn't starting Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Jeffers went 8-for-16 with a homer, four doubles, five RBI and four runs over his last five games, but he'll take a seat for the second time in the last three matchups. Gary Sanchez is starting behind the dish while Kyle Garlick serves as the designated hitter.

Vazquez isn't starting Saturday's game against the Guardians, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Vazquez started in the last five games and went 7-for-18 with two homers, three doubles, five RBI and four runs. Kevin Plawecki will take over behind the plate and bat ninth Saturday.

Kirk (hand) will bat cleanup as the designated hitter Saturday against the Brewers.

The 23-year-old sustained a bruise on his left hand when he was clipped by the bat on a backswing during Friday's contest, but X-rays came back negative and he won't end up missing a game. Kirk has homered in his past three contests, going 7-for-14 with six RBI and four runs.

Heim isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

Heim started in the last four games and went 2-for-12 with a solo homer, two runs, three walks and four strikeouts. Meibrys Viloria is starting behind the plate and batting ninth Saturday.

Zavala isn't starting Saturday's game against Baltimore.

Zavala went 3-for-10 with two doubles, a run, a walk and six strikeouts over his last four games, and he'll retreat to the bench for the third time in the last four matchups. Reese McGuire is starting behind the dish and batting ninth.

Rutschman isn't starting Saturday against the White Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Rutschman has recorded five extra-base hits over the last four games and has gone 5-for-15 with a homer, four doubles, three RBI and two runs during that time. Robinson Chirinos will take over behind the dish and bat seventh Saturday.

Garver started at designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk in Friday's 2-1 loss to Washington.

Garver was back in the lineup after getting a day off Wednesday. He returned from the COVID-19 related injured list Tuesday and presumably was given a rest day following an 11-day stint on the IL. He should be the primary DH going forward, as a flexor strain in his right arm prevents him from throwing or serving at catcher.

Kirk was diagnosed with a bruised left hand when X-rays came back negative after being removed from Friday's game at Milwaukee, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Kirk was clipped on his glove hand by the bat on a backswing during the bottom of the seventh inning, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day. The 23-year-old continued his tear at the plate prior to exiting and homered for the third straight game. In addition to the two-run home run Friday, he went 3-for-3 with another run scored.

Kirk was removed from Friday's game against the Brewers with an apparent left arm injury, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

The 23-year-old was struck by the bat on a backswing during the bottom of the seventh inning, and he was lifted from the contest during a pitching change after the at-bat. Kirk was a major producer prior to leaving the game, as he went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored. The Blue Jays also have an 8-2 lead, so the team could simply be exercising caution late in the contest. Kirk should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

Perez underwent surgery to repair the UCL in his left thumb Friday and is expected to be sidelined about eight weeks, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Kansas City reports.

The 32-year-old was placed on the injured list earlier Friday, and the team wasted little time getting him in for the procedure. Perez spent 10 days on the injured list with a thumb sprain in May, but he's now set to be sidelined for the next two months. MJ Melendez should operated as Kansas City's primary catcher in the meantime, with Cam Gallagher filling the backup role.
