Diaz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Red Sox.

Diaz had started at catcher each of the previous two days, so he will get some rest with the Astros wrapping up their series against the Red Sox with a day game after a night game. Christian Vazquez will start at catcher Wednesday as Houston attempts to finish off a series sweep.

Higashioka is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Through Texas' first six games, Higashioka has drawn two starts at catcher to Danny Jansen's four. The Rangers could split the reps fairly equitably between the two backstops this season, but at least in the early going, Jansen looks to be Option 1A of the duo.

Quero is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Miami.

It's a day game after a night game, so Quero will get a breather after starting at catcher the previous three days. Reese McGuire will be behind the dish and bat eighth in Wednesday's series finale.

Wong went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 9-2 loss to the Astros.

Wong is off to a good start after hitting .190 over 188 at-bats in 2025. The backup catcher is 3-for-7 with two doubles through three games (two starts).

Jansen went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Orioles.

After hitting a single and a double in his first two at-bats, Jansen belted a 409-foot homer in the seventh inning to give Texas a 7-3 lead. The 30-year-old backstop was making his return to the starting lineup after sitting out the previous two contests in favor of Kyle Higashioka, but Jansen still figures to be the preferred option behind the plate.

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

Langeliers struck out in each of his first two plate appearances Tuesday, but he gave the Athletics a four-run lead after belting a solo home run off Joel Payamps in the fifth inning. Langeliers is 2-for-12 with six strikeouts over his last three outings, but the 28-year-old catcher is up to four home runs through five regular-season games.

Wells isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Wells went 2-for-3 with a run scored on Opening Day but has gone 0-for-10 at the plate since then. He'll get a day off to reset; meanwhile, J.C. Escarra will start at catcher and bat seventh.

Dingler isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.

Dingler will catch a breather Tuesday after going 4-for-12 with a homer, five RBI and two runs scored through the Tigers' first four games. Jake Rogers will replace him behind the plate and bat ninth.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Houston, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Narvaez went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts in Monday's series opener and has hits in all three of his starts this season, but he'll head to the bench for Tuesday's contest. Connor Wong will do the catching for Boston righty Brayan Bello.

Kirk is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Kirk has gone 1-for-12 with two walks and a solo homer through three games and will sit Tuesday for the second time in Toronto's past three contests. Tyler Heineman will take over behind the plate to do the catching for veteran righty Max Scherzer.
