  • Jake Rogers C | DET

Tigers' Jake Rogers: Serving as No. 2 catcher

Rogers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Since being activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Rogers has operated as the Tigers' clear No. 2 catcher. He's started just two of the Tigers' last six games, with Dillon Dingler behind the dish for the other four games.

  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Lifts homer in win

Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Naylor has been hitting a little better recently, going 6-for-22 (.273) with a pair of homers over his last seven games. He got the Guardians on the board in the third inning Saturday and added a sacrifice fly in the 10th that stood as the decisive run. The 25-year-old catcher is now at a .200/.295/.433 slash line with seven homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base across 39 contests. Naylor remains Cleveland's primary catcher over Austin Hedges.

  • Mitch Garver C | SEA

Mariners' Mitch Garver: Rare start at catcher Saturday

Garver went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Houston.

It was just Garver's fourth start at catcher in 16 appearances during the month of May, as he's yet to carve out a steady role in the field this season. The veteran backstop has operated mostly as a pinch hitter in 2025, batting .264 (14-for-63) with one homer, one double, eight RBI and seven runs scored over his last 22 games. Cal Raleigh has played each of Seattle's first 51 games, so Garver doesn't have a clear pathway to playing time even with Luke Raley (oblique) on the injured list.

  • Luke Maile C | KC

Royals' Luke Maile: Outrighted to Triple-A

Maile cleared outright waivers and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

Maile was DFA'd by the Royals this past Monday, but he'll remain in the organization after clearing waivers. He is slashing .286/.434/.381 with one steal, one homer and 10 RBI across 53 plate appearances in Triple-A this season. Maile made three major-league appearances for Kansas City in May, going 3-for-8 with a solo home run and an additional run across those outings.

  • Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Sitting for Game 2

Narvaez is not in Boston's starting lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Baltimore.

Narvaez went 1-for-4 with a double in the Red Sox's 6-5 win in Game 1. Connor Wong will step behind home plate and bat eighth in Saturday's nightcap.

  • Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Sitting Saturday

Dingler is not in the Tigers' starting lineup against the Guardians on Saturday.

Jake Rogers will start behind home plate and bat ninth in Saturday's contest. Dingler is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, going 11-for-26 (.423) with two RBI over that span.

  • Edgar Quero C | CHW

White Sox's Edgar Quero: Riding pine Saturday

Quero isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

After a strong start to his big-league career, Quero is now just 1-for-16 in his last six games and will take a seat Saturday to regroup. Matt Thaiss will fill start at catcher and bat seventh.

  • Yainer Diaz C | HOU

Astros' Yainer Diaz: Not starting Saturday

Diaz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Diaz will grab a seat on the bench Saturday after going 2-for-7 with two walks and three strikeouts through the first two games of the series. Victor Caratini steps in behind the plate, batting fifth.

  • Ryan Jeffers C | MIN

Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Getting breather Saturday

Jeffers isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

Jeffers has slashed .391/.481/.609 with a homer, two RBI and four runs scored during his six-game hitting streak, but he'll head to the bench for Saturday's contest while Christian Vazquez starts behind the dish.

  • Royals' Salvador Perez: Back in lineup

Perez (illness) will start at designated hitter and bat fourth Saturday against the Twins.

After missing Friday's contest with an illness, Perez seems to be feeling well enough to return to action Saturday. The 35-year-old backstop has been in an extended slump recently, slashing just .205/.224/.301 in 76 plate appearances since the start of May.
