Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud said he's been pressing at the plate this year, according to the New York Daily News.
d'Arnaud has struggled, hitting just .152 in 66 at-bats. "I am pressing," d’Arnaud said. "I know I am pressing. I am trying to just relax and I am getting more comfortable." Despite the struggles, Mets hitting coach Dave Hudgens said he still feels good about the rookie's swing.
"He’s got a great swing,"Hudgens said. "What he does before, he knows the right sequence, he knows the right movement. Once he gets that down, you’ll see it minimize once he gets comfortable." d'Arnaud will continue to get playing time as he figures out how to hit in the majors.

Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco recorded three hits and smacked a home run Wednesday afternoon during a 6-0 win over the Cubs. Mesoraco went deep in the fourth inning for a solo shot.
Mesoraco now has nine home runs on the season as he finished 3 for 4 with two runs scored. He's batting .248 on the year for Cincinnati.
The 25-year-old backstop had just two hits in his previous nine appearances before the three-hit game Wednesday. He's not been a consistent hitter this year for the Reds. -

Mesoraco finished 0 for 3 with two strikeouts to drop his average to .242. He's gone 0 for 8 in his last three appearances for the Reds.
In fact, Mesoraco has just two hits -- both coming in the same game -- over his last seven games.
