  • Joey Bart C | PIT

Pirates' Joey Bart: Tallies three hits

Bart went 3-for-6 with an RBI and a stolen base Saturday against the Marlins.

Bart has started all three of Pittsburgh's games behind the plate and hit cleanup on each occasion. He doesn't have much fantasy production to show for it, but he's gone 4-for-12 with a pair of walks.

  • Will Smith C | LAD

Dodgers' Will Smith: Goes deep for first time in 2025

Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in a 7-3 victory versus the Tigers.

Smith homered to left field in the sixth inning for his first long ball of the campaign. The veteran catcher is off to a strong start to the season, slashing .417/.588/.750 through five contests. He's knocked in three runs and posted a 5:3 BB:K during that stretch.

  • Hunter Goodman RF | COL

Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Consecutive starts behind plate

Goodman went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored Saturday against the Rays.

Goodman played his way onto the Colorado roster during spring training, though it appears he also wrestled the starting catcher role away from Jacob Stallings. Goodman has started each of the Rockies' first two games, hitting sixth both times. He's gone 3-for-8 with a pair of doubles.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: Nearing rehab assignment

Murphy (ribs) will likely begin a rehab assignment at High-A Rome on Friday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Murphy stayed back at Atlanta's spring training complex in Florida to continue rehabbing his fractured rib, and he's worked up to catching five innings in minor-league games. It's unclear how many reps the team would like the 30-year-old backstop to get during his rehab assignment, but he seems to still be on track for a return to Atlanta around mid-April.

  • Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Removed from Saturday's game

Realmuto was removed from Saturday's game against the Nationals due to a left foot contusion, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The move to replace Realmuto with Rafael Marchan in the bottom of the seventh was done for "precautionary reasons." It doesn't appear that Realmuto's injury is of much concern, though it could impact his availability for Sunday's series finale. He went 0-for-4 before being removed from Saturday's game.

  • Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Placed on IL

Del Castillo (shoulder) was placed on Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list Saturday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Del Castillo was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain, and he's expected to be out of action for at least a month, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. Del Castillo was unable to crack the Diamondbacks' Opening Day roster after losing out to Jose Herrera for backup catching duties.

  • Elias Diaz C | SD

Padres' Elias Diaz: Sitting again Saturday

Diaz is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Diaz will sit for a second consecutive game Saturday, as the Padres will opt to give Martin Maldonado another start following his 2-for-3 performance Friday.

  • Pirates' Endy Rodriguez: Getting rest Saturday

Rodriguez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Rodriguez has gone 0-for-6 with four strikeouts through the first two games of Pittsburgh's season. He'll get a chance to regroup Saturday while Jared Triolo starts at first base and bats seventh.

  • Miguel Amaya C | CHC

    Cubs' Miguel Amaya: Resting Friday

Amaya is not in the Cubs' starting lineup against the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Amaya drove in five runs during Thursday's 10-6 win over Arizona. He'll get a break Friday while Carson Kelly serves behind home plate and bats ninth against Diamondbacks right-hander Merrill Kelly.

  • Elias Diaz C | SD

Padres' Elias Diaz: Day off Friday

Diaz isn't in the lineup for Friday's game versus Atlanta.

Diaz went 2-for-3 with a strikeout during San Diego's Opening Day victory, but he'll give way behind the plate to Martin Maldonado in the team's second game of the season.
