Alex Jackson C | MIN
Braves' Alex Jackson: Continues power surge
Jackson went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI for Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.
Monday's two-homer game marked the fourth time Jackson has accomplished the feat, and he now has a career-high 20 home runs this season, including eight over the past 12 games. The catcher recorded 20 RBI during those 12 games to bring his total to 47 at the Triple-A level in 2019. However, he's a bit of a one-trick pony, as he carries a slash line of .239/.325/.561 and a 17:73 B:KK through 58 games this year with Gwinnett. It's possible Jackson could get called up when rosters expand or if Brian McCann or Tyler Flowers goes down with an injury, but it's unlikely that he sees regular playing time at the major-league level in the immediate future

Reds' Curt Casali: Exits with knee issue
Casali left Monday's game against the Cubs due to right knee soreness, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Willson Contreras C | BOS
Cubs' Willson Contreras: Placed on injured list
Contreras was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a strain of the arch muscle in his right foot, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.
Contreras has been held out of the last two games due to a foot issue, and an MRI revealed Monday night that he's dealing with a muscle strain. The Cubs medical staff also determined that playing through the issue would only make it worse, so the backstop will spend the next 10 days on the shelf. Contreras isn't expected to miss more than the minimum, however.
-
Martin Maldonado C | SD
Cubs' Martin Maldonado: Headed to Chicago
Maldonado was traded from the Royals to the Cubs on Monday in exchange for Mike Montgomery, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Willson Contreras (foot) is currently being considered day-to-day, but the acquisition of Maldonado could mean Contreras' injury is worse than initially thought. Either way, Maldonado will provide the Cubs with veteran experience behind the dish moving forward. He's slashing .224/.288/.359 with six homers and 17 RBI over 73 games this season.

Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Delivers 11th homer
Realmuto went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Realmuto drove home a run in the fourth inning with a single to left field, and he left the yard in the sixth inning to give his club a two-run lead. The 28-year-old backstop has now reached base safely in 10 straight contests, registering eight RBI over that stretch.

Dodgers' Austin Barnes: Sitting Sunday
