Contreras is out of the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Contreras will hit the bench after going 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts during Tuesday's defeat. Over his past six starts, he's gone just 2-for-24 (.083 average) with one RBI and seven strikeouts. Victor Caratini will catch Jose Quintana and bat seventh in his place.

Plawecki is not in the lineup against Atlanta on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Plawecki will remain on the bench for a second straight game while Devin Mesoraco gets the start behind the plate.

Barnhart is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Barnhart and Curt Casali have been alternating turns behind the plate over the last six games. Casali will get the call on this occasion.
