Maldonado isn't starting Monday's game against the Royals.

Maldonado drew starts in the last four games and went 3-for-12 with a pair of solo home runs, a walk and four strikeouts during that time. Korey Lee is starting behind the plate and batting ninth Monday.

McCann isn't starting Monday's game against Cincinnati, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

McCann has alternated starts behind the dish recently, and he'll take a seat after he went 1-for-3 with a double and two strikeouts during Sunday's win over the Rangers. Tomas Nido is starting at catcher and batting ninth.

Jansen (finger) will begin a rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Buffalo.

Jansen has been out of action since breaking his hand in early June, but he has recovered and is ready to get back behind the plate.

Herrera was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Herrera joined the big club for a second time in mid-June, but he picked up just two hits over 18 at-bats, so he will head back to the minors for the time being. Herrera is one of the Cardinals' better prospects, so he could get another shot with the big club before the campaign comes to a close, particularly if Yadier Molina (knee) continues to miss time.

Narvaez is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Narvaez launched his third homer of the season Sunday, but he will get a day off with the Brewers playing a second consecutive day game. Pedro Severino will start behind the plate Monday and make his season debut.

Heim isn't in the lineup Monday against Baltimore.

Heim recorded hits in each of the last three games and went 5-for-12 with two solo home runs and three strikeouts during that time. Meibrys Viloria is starting behind the plate and batting ninth Monday.

Ruiz isn't starting Monday's game against the Marlins.

Ruiz is getting a day off after he went 0-for-2 with a walk in Sunday's extra-inning loss to Miami. Tres Barrera will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Heim went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-1 loss to the Mets on Sunday.

Heim went yard off Carlos Carrasco in the third. It marked his second long ball in as many contests and gives the 27-year-old catcher 12 home runs on the year. His previous season-best total was 10 over 265 at-bats last season. The Rangers are likely satisfied with a .492 slugging percentage coming from their primary catcher spot, and Heim should continue to see regular at-bats.

Realmuto went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Cardinals.

Realmuto continues to show impressive speed for a catcher, as he's logged eight steals in his last 27 contests. He also made some noise with his bat Sunday, swatting a two-run blast in the sixth inning to account for the last runs in the contest. Realmuto has gone 10-for-39 (.256) in his last 10 games, a slight improvement on his .242 season average. He's added a .688 OPS, six homers, 11 steals, 31 RBI, 38 runs scored, 11 doubles and two triples through 287 plate appearances.

Zavala went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 13-4 win over the Giants.

Each of Zavala's three hits knocked in Leury Garcia as the White Sox got production from the bottom-third of the order. This was Zavala's fifth multi-hit effort of the year, and his second career game of three or more hits. The 28-year-old catcher is slashing a solid .313/.333/.500 with one home run, 11 RBI, six runs scored and six doubles through 16 contests. That strong hitting has allowed Zavala to split playing time with Reese McGuire lately while Yasmani Grandal (back) is still on the injured list with no clear timeline to return.
