D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI in Friday's 7-6 win over the Reds.

The veteran catcher opened the scoring by bringing home Adam Duvall in the bottom of the second inning before adding a two-run knock in the third. D'Arnaud is coming off a rough, injury-plagued campaign, but Atlanta is hoping better health will allow the 33-year-old to return to something close to the form that saw him deliver a .919 OPS in 2020.

Stephenson went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 7-6 loss to Atlanta.

A two-run single in the sixth inning helped spark a Reds rally from a 7-1 deficit that ultimately fell short. Stephenson has three RBI through two games to begin his first season as the clear No. 1 catcher for Cincinnati.

Jansen went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 10-8 win over the Rangers.

His eighth-inning blast off Greg Holland gave the Blue Jays an insurance run during a game in which they were down 7-0 at one point before competing the largest comeback on a team's Opening Day since 1950. jansen's playing time is in question this season with Alejandro Kirk pushing for playing time, but Kirk got the nod at DH on Friday, and if Jansen keeps hitting, he'll keep finding his way onto manager Charlie Montoyo's lineup card.

Garver went 2-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays.

His second-inning blast off Tayler Saucedo helped the Rangers build an early 7-0 lead that the pitching staff somehow squandered. Garver also hit cleanup behind Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, a spot in the batting order that would give the catcher's fantasy value an extra boost if he can hang onto it.

Haase went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Friday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.

Haase struck out in his first at-bat Friday when he entered the game as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth, but he blasted a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth to help the Tigers secure a comeback win. The 29-year-old should see a fair amount of playing time this year since he has the ability to play behind the dish, at first base and in the outfield.

Bart went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Marlins.

Getting the start behind the plate in the Giants' opener and hitting ninth, Bart launched a Sandy Alcantara offering to deep left-center field in the fifth inning. Buster Posey's heir apparent has big cleats to fill this season, but he at least figures to supply solid power numbers after slugging 10 homers and posting an .838 OPS over 67 games for Triple-A Sacramento last year.

Stallings went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

The Marlins' new starting catcher made an immediate impact in his debut for the team, taking Dominic Leone deep in the seventh inning for a two-run shot to get Miami on the board before bringing home Miguel Rojas with a single in the ninth as part of a three-run rally. Stallings hit a career-high eight homers in 112 games last season for the Pirates, so power hasn't been a big part of his game to date, but the 32-year-old wouldn't be the first backstop to grow as a hitter later in their career if he does keep slugging.

Rutschman (triceps) was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list Friday.

Rutschman had already been ruled out for Opening Day and the start of the minor-league season due to his triceps injury, and he'll be forced to miss at least a week. The 24-year-old has resumed baseball activities and is expected to return to game action within a few weeks. While Rutschman's injury has delayed the timetable for his big-league debut, he's still expected to join the Orioles at some point in 2022.

Stassi will sit Friday against the Astros, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Stassi started behind the plate Opening Day but will hit the bench for the second game of the season. That could signal that Stassi will be used less frequently than other starting catchers this year, or it could simply be a way to ease him into a heavier regular-season workload. Kurt Suzuki will catch Reid Detmers in his absence.

Nola is not in the lineup Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Nola started behind the plate Opening Day and went 1-for-4 with an RBI during the 4-2 loss in Arizona. Jorge Alfaro will start Friday's contest and form a battery with left-hander Sean Manaea.
