Haase went 1-for-3 with a double, three walks, three RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Twins.

Threes were wild for Haase, who drove in seven runs combined in the last two games of the series against Minnesota. That gives him 41 RBI this season, and he's become a fairly productive option for the Tigers in recent weeks. Haase should be locked in as the team's top catcher while Jake Rogers (forearm) is on the injured list.

Thaiss was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old will make his way to the majors for the first time this season with Jared Walsh (chest) landing on the injured list. Thaiss should be in the mix for playing time at first base along with Phil Gosselin while Walsh is sidelined.

Kirk is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox.

Kirk started at catcher and went 0-for-3 in the matinee, and it's no surprise he won't be starting both games of the twin bill. Reese McGuire will work behind the plate and bat ninth in the nightcap.

Vazquez is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Vazquez started Game 1 behind the plate and went 0-for-3. Kevin Plawecki will catch for Tanner Houck in the nightcap and bat seventh.

Heim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Jose Trevino will get the nod behind the dish for what will be his second start since returning from the 10-day injured list Friday. Heim has caught the other three games for Texas, so for now, he looks to have the slight edge in playing time among the two backstops.

Collins isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Collins started Tuesday's game against Kansas City, but he'll head back to the bench for the third time in the last four contests. Seby Zavala will start at catcher and bat ninth.

Contreras isn't starting Wednesday against Cincinnati.

Contreras drew starts in each of the last four games, but he'll get a chance to regroup after he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts Tuesday. Robinson Chirinos will start behind the dish and bat seventh.

Maldonado is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Maldonado is getting some routine maintenance with the Astros and Mariners wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game. Jason Castro checks in behind the dish, catching for starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi.

Raleigh isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Raleigh recorded hits in each of the last two games and went 3-for-7 with a double, three RBI, a run and a walk during that time. Tom Murphy will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Wong was called up by the Red Sox to serve as the 27th man in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Wong spent several weeks in the majors in late June and early July, and he appeared in four games. The 25-year-old went 3-for-11 with a double, two runs and seven strikeouts during that time. He isn't starting Wednesday's matinee against Toronto but should be available off the bench.
