Stephenson went 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 10-6 loss to St. Louis.

The catcher has recorded multiple hits in four of his last six starts, although the other two games in that sample were 0-fers. All three of Stephenson's hits Sunday were singles. The 24-year-old is slashing .288/.378/.419 with five home runs, 27 RBI and 39 runs scored across 251 plate appearances. He remains the favorite for playing time behind the dish versus left-handed pitching, but he has drawn starts four times versus right-handers in the last eight games.

Sanchez (back) went 1-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

In the eighth inning, Sanchez hit just the second triple of his major-league career before he scored on a Gleyber Torres single. Sanchez ended up missing just one game after dealing with back spasms. The catcher is slashing .219/.333/.470 with 17 home runs, 37 RBI, 40 runs scored and 10 doubles in 294 plate appearances.

Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Collins will receive a breather after he started in each of the White Sox's past five games, catching in four of them while serving as a designated hitter in the other. Seby Zavala will get a turn behind the dish in Collins' stead.

Perez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Perez has rewarded the Pirates with three extra-base hits (one triple, two doubles) between his last two starts, but he remains Pittsburgh's clear No. 2 catcher behind Jacob Stallings. Stallings will be in the lineup for the sixth time since the All-Star break, while Perez has picked up only three starts over the same stretch.

Casali will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Casali will be checking back into the starting nine for the first time since Wednesday after Buster Posey's recent return from the injured list bumped Casali back to the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. Expect Casali to pick up about one or two starts per week the rest of the season while Posey is healthy.

Raleigh is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics.

Raleigh started the past two games and will take a seat for Sunday's afternoon affair. Tom Murphy will work behind the plate for Seattle.

Stubbs was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Stubbs was promoted by Houston on Monday and received one at-bat during his time with the team. He'll return to the minors with Martin Maldonado and Jason Castro healthy.

Haase is starting at catcher and batting third in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Haase got a breather Saturday but is set to return Sunday, with Grayson Greiner heading to the bench. Jake Rogers (forearm) has been shut down for the foreseeable future, so Haase should continue to work primarily behind the plate, though he's played outfield this year too. The team will likely find him regular days off as he acclimates to the rigors of catching more regularly.

Rortvedt was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

The 23-year-old joined the Twins on Thursday but will make a quick return to the minors with Mitch Garver back from the paternity list. Rortvedt is unlikely to rejoin the big-league roster while Garver and Ryan Jeffers remain healthy.

Garver was activated from the paternity list Sunday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Garver spent the past few days away from the team to be with his family following the birth of his son. He should reclaim starting duties behind the plate now that he's back, though Ryan Jeffers will start Sunday's series finale versus the Angels.
