Jansen left Sunday's game against the Astros with an undisclosed injury, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It's not clear what Jansen may have injured, but his removal came shortly after sliding into third base. Reese McGuire replaced him behind the plate. Further updates on the backstop should become available later Sunday.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Though Diaz will sit out the series finale, he may have at least temporarily supplanted Dom Nunez as the Rockies' No. 1 catcher. Diaz caught in each of the Rockies' previous three games, making two starts against right-handed pitchers during that time.

Contreras is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Giants.

Contreras will rest up Sunday after starting the first three games of the series in San Francisco. P.J. Higgins will get the start behind the plate, though Contreras could be an option to pinch hit later in the contest.

Stassi sat during Friday's game before going 2-for-5 with a homer as Saturday's starter. He'll retreat to the bench in favor of Kurt Suzuki on Sunday.

Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

The lefty-hitting Narvaez will take a seat in the series finale versus Arizona southpaw Caleb Smith, allowing the righty-hitting Manny Pina to serve as Milwaukee's catcher.

Godoy is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Angels.

Godoy will get his second game off in the last three days, with Tom Murphy taking over the catching duties Sunday.

McGuire is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Though Danny Jansen will be behind the dish in the series finale, McGuire may have supplanted him as the team's preferred backstop for the time being. McGuire caught four of the previous six games, and his .542 OPS -- while poor -- is still 38 points better than Jansen's own mark over a larger sample of plate appearances. At the very least, a timeshare between the two catchers could be in place until one of the two dramatically separates himself from the other from a performance standpoint.

Gomes (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Gomes' tight right hamstring will keep him on the bench for the fourth game in a row, but manager Dave Martinez said Sunday that the catcher's condition is improving, per Maria Torres of The Athletic. Alex Avila will get another turn behind the plate Sunday in his stead, but Gomes could be ready to catch Tuesday in Tampa Bay following the Nationals' off day Monday.

Barnes (ankle) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, but manager Dave Roberts said that 31-year-old will be available to catch the Dodgers' next two games if needed, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Los Angeles' decision not to bring up another catcher from the minors would seem to support the notion that the mild ankle sprain Barnes picked up in Saturday's game isn't anything that will cost him time. No. 1 catcher Will Smith will be back behind the plate for Sunday's series finale, but Barnes should be ready to contribute off the bench.
