Stubbs was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Stubbs was promoted by Houston on Monday and received one at-bat during his time with the team. He'll return to the minors with Martin Maldonado and Jason Castro healthy.

Haase is starting at catcher and batting third in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Haase got a breather Saturday but is set to return Sunday, with Grayson Greiner heading to the bench. Jake Rogers (forearm) has been shut down for the foreseeable future, so Haase should continue to work primarily behind the plate, though he's played outfield this year too. The team will likely find him regular days off as he acclimates to the rigors of catching more regularly.

Rortvedt was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

The 23-year-old joined the Twins on Thursday but will make a quick return to the minors with Mitch Garver back from the paternity list. Rortvedt is unlikely to rejoin the big-league roster while Garver and Ryan Jeffers remain healthy.

Garver was activated from the paternity list Sunday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Garver spent the past few days away from the team to be with his family following the birth of his son. He should reclaim starting duties behind the plate now that he's back, though Ryan Jeffers will start Sunday's series finale versus the Angels.

Nola is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

After being activated from the injured list Thursday, Nola started behind the plate in two of the Padres' subsequent three contests, going hitless with two walks across eight plate appearances. Though he'll sit in favor of Victor Caratini for the second time in the series, Nola should see the larger share of playing time between the two over the final two months of the season.

McCann is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

McCann is likely just getting a maintenance day as New York wraps up its series with Toronto. Tomas Nido will work in a battery with starting pitcher Rich Hill on Sunday.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Houston.

Trevino was activated from the injured list Friday and made his first start since late June on Saturday, but he's back on the bench a day later. Jonah Heim will start Sunday as the pair may split playing time behind the plate.

Hedges is out of the lineup Sunday versus Tampa Bay.

Hedges started the last three games and will take a seat after going 1-for-9 with a sacrifice fly and four strikeouts. The 28-year-old appears to have taken over the starting role at catcher from Roberto Perez, who starts Sunday, but neither backstop has done enough offensively to earn much job security.

Sanchez (back) is starting behind the plate and batting cleanup Sunday at Boston, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Sanchez was removed from Friday's game while dealing with back spasms and didn't play Saturday, but he'll rejoin the lineup for the series finale. The 28--year-old is 4-for-17 with two solo home runs, four walks and two additional runs in six games since the All-Star break.

Barrera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

Barrera gets a much-needed day off after he went 7-for-23 with three extra-base hits (one home run, two doubles) while catching in each of the Nationals' last six games. Rene Rivera will replace him behind the dish Sunday, but Barrera should continue to see the bulk of the starts at the position until one of Yan Gomes (oblique) or Alex Avila (calf) returns from the injured list.
