Trevino (wrist) is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the A's.

Trevino hasn't seen the field since exiting Wednesday's contest against the Angels with a sprained left wrist. Sam Huff will start behind the plate in the nightcap.

Jansen is not starting Saturday against the Mets.

Jansen has hit a very poor .146/.294/.303 on the season. His playing time could take a hit down the stretch depending on whether Alejandro Kirk, who makes his big-league debut behind the plate Saturday, has success as he makes the jump up from High-A.

Vazquez is not in the lineup Saturday against the Rays.

Vazquez has seen his numbers fall off from his career-best .797 OPS last season, though his .718 this year is an acceptable mark for a catcher. Kevin Plawecki will start behind the plate in his absence.

Trevino (wrist) is not in the lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against Oakland.

Trevino left Wednesday's game against the Angels after spraining his left wrist and hasn't played since then. Whether or not he'll return to the lineup for the nightcap remains to be seen. Jeff Mathis will start behind the plate in his absence.

Murphy will sit Saturday against the Rangers.

Murphy and Jonah Heim have alternated turns behind the plate over the last six games. Heim takes his turn in this one, though Murphy should return Sunday if the pattern continues.

Huff went 0-for-3 with a walk in Friday's 10-6 loss to the Athletics.

Huff made his MLB debut Friday and it was immediately a busy night for the rookie. Game opener Luis Garcia walked the first three batters before ceding a grand slam, and primary pitcher Jordan Lyles gave up another four runs over the next two innings. The Rangers need Huff with Jose Trevino (wrist) on the injured list and plan to use him regularly as long as Trevino is sidelined. With a doubleheader scheduled Saturday, he should be in the lineup for at least one of those games.

Realmuto went 3-for-4 with an RBI during a 5-3 loss to the Marlins in the second game of Friday's doubleheader.

After going 0-for-3 with a run scored as the catcher in the matinee, Realmuto got a partial breather in the nightcap as the DH and took advantage. Through 40 games this season, he's slashing .274/.361/.541 with 11 homers, four steals, 30 RBI and 31 runs.

Murphy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk during Friday's 10-6 victory over the Rangers.

Murphy has seemingly been seeing the ball well lately, recording a .500 OBP with six walks over his last seven games and hitting three home runs over his last five games. Murphy represents the strong side of a platoon, hitting .273 versus righties and just .105 versus lefties this season.

Jeffers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 3-1 win over the Indians on Friday.

Jeffers provided some insurance after taking Shane Bieber deep with two outs in the seventh inning to extend the Twins' lead to 3-0. The rookie has homered in two of his last three games but could see a decrease in playing time shortly as Mitch Garver (side) may be activated from the injured list during in the next week.

Gomes went 3-for-5 with a home run, one double and two RBI in Friday's win against Atlanta.

Gomes has seen inconsistent playing time recently while splitting time behind the dish, but he was a force at the plate in the 12-inning win Friday. He's now hitting .284 with three home runs and 11 RBI over 20 games this year.
