Sanchez (groin) went 0-for-1 with a strikeout after entering as a pinch hitter in Saturday's loss to the A's.

Sanchez was held out of the lineup Saturday for a second consecutive day, but it's an encouraging sign that he was able to play in some capacity late in the contest. He could return behind the plate Sunday, but with a scheduled off day Monday, the club could decide to hold Sanchez out one more game in order to give him a couple extra days of rest.

Perez is not in the lineup Saturday against the Angels, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

Despite riding a nine-game hitting streak, Perez will head to the bench for the night game ahead of Sunday's matinee contest. Drew Butera will draw the start behind the dish, while Perez should slot back into the lineup for the series finale.

Contreras is not in the lineup Saturday against the Pirates.

Although he doubled twice in Friday's contest, Contreras has just four hits over the past week. He'll cede Saturday's start to Miguel Montero.

Sanchez (groin) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the A's.

This will be Sanchez's second consecutive missed game as he continues to recover from a groin injury suffered Thursday. Austin Romine will take over behind the plate and bat ninth in the order. Sanchez's next chance to return will come Sunday, but it's unclear whether he'll be ready to get back into the lineup by then.

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Saturday against the Nationals.

D'Arnaud is hitless over his last three games, dropping his season average down to .212, and with a day game on tap for Saturday, he'll hit the bench for a day off. Rene Rivera will assume the catching duties for the afternoon.

Perez is starting behind the plate and hitting eighth for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader in Minnesota.

The reserve catcher is hitting just .152 with a 24.7 percent strikeout rate. Perez is nothing more than a punt play in daily formats Saturday afternoon.

Gomes is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Roberto Perez will draw in behind the plate for the opening installment of Saturday's twin bill, which all but confirms that Gomes will get the start for the nightcap. Gomes notched his first multi-hit game in nearly a month Friday and added three RBI in the contest. Provided that Gomes does indeed start Game 2, he'll face left-hander Adalberto Mejia.

Contreras went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and a run during Friday's win over Pittsburgh.

Games like Friday's have been few and far between for Contreras this season, and the backstop sports a disappointing .246/.315/.397 slash line. Additionally, his five homers, 28 RBI and 21 runs are probably falling short of the expectations the 25-year-old backstop carried entering the season. However, those are still serviceable fantasy numbers from the catcher position in the majority of settings.

Rupp went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Friday's loss to Arizona.

While Rupp owns an underwhelming .208/.294/.368 slash line this season, he's been a high-end hitter against southpaws dating back to last season. Before blasting Friday's homer off lefty Patrick Corbin, Rupp sported a .954 OPS and .399 wOBA against left-handed hurlers dating back to the beginning of 2016. Don't overlook the backstop as a potential source of DFS cap relief when Philadelphia faces a lefty.

Gomes went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run in Friday's win over the Twins.

The 29-year-old catcher entered Friday hitting just .190 with a pair of RBI over the club's previous 13 games. Gomes' effort versus the Twins pushed his average this month to .273 while more than doubling his RBI total for June. He had a rough first month of the season (.176/.276/.275), but bounced back with a strong May (.279/.362/.525) before falling into his recent slump. Gomes is on pace to play more than 110 games (for just the second time in his career) this year, and that volume is an attractive attribute among backstops.
