Vazquez is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

This marks the second consecutive game Vazquez will watch from the bench, although it's not too surprising given that Texas is trotting southpaw Martin Perez out to the mound Wednesday. Sandy Leon will take over behind the plate in his place.

Rupp is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Manager Pete Mackanin hinted after Tuesday's game that he planned to use backup catcher Andrew Knapp in a more expanded capacity going forward, and it appears he's sticking true to that goal by calling upon the young backstop for the second game in a row. Knapp is regarded as more of a defensive-minded catcher than Rupp, who has been a useful option in NL-only and two-catcher mixed leagues this season with a .330 on-base percentage, four homers and 13 RBI over 115 plate appearances. With Rupp seemingly on track to cede more duties to Knapp, fantasy owners may not want to grow too attached to him.

Gomes is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Reds.

Gomes takes a seat after starting each of the previous four games, during which he went 4-for-15 with two home runs and six RBI. Carlos Perez will step in behind the dish.

Mesoraco is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Indians, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

After going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts Tuesday, Mesoraco will get a chance to clear his head. Tucker Barnhart takes over behind the plate to catch for Lisalverto Bonilla.

Ohlman accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Buffalo, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.

The Blue Jays designated Ohlman for assignment over the weekend, and after passing through waivers, he'll return to the organization at the Triple-A level. Now that Ohlman is off the 40-man roster, he's unlikely to be called back up anytime soon unless Russell Martin or Luke Maile land on the disabled list.

Narvaez is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

Despite going 2-for-3 Monday night, the White Sox will continue to employ their timeshare behind the dish. Narvaez will cede Tuesday's start to Kevan Smith.

Rupp is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, Ryan Lawrence of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Rupp will take a seat for the second time in three games as Andrew Knapp draws the start behind the dish. The 28-year-old backstop is slashing .248/.330/.446 with four homers and 13 RBI through 101 at-bats, so he could be a useful fantasy option in deeper leagues.

Sanchez is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Royals, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Sanchez was hit in the mask by a foul ball over the weekend, so this night off seems like a way to keep him fresh after that incident as well as two straight hitless showings. Austin Romine will fill in for him behind the dish.

Despite picking up four hits in the past two games, Vazquez will head to the bench for a night off. Sandy Leon will pick up a start behind the dish in his place.

Jackson is on the 7-day DL at High-A Florida with an undisclosed injury.

He made 17 starts at catcher, 22 starts at DH and zero starts in the outfield prior to the injury, as the move behind the dish appears to be complete. Jackson was hitting .297/.355/.568 with 10 home runs and a 27.2 percent strikeout rate in 169 plate appearances.
