Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal has caught fire during his team's series against the Angels.

Grandal followed up his three-hit outing on Friday with a 3 for 4 performance on Saturday that included a home run and two RBI.

During his last three games, Grandal is hitting .583 with seven hits, a home run and four RBI.

Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game. 

Cervelli has started 76 games behind the plate this year, including the last four and seven of the last eight. 

Chris Stewart gets his 25th start of the season in his place. 

The Mets have activated catcher Travis d'Arnaud from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, according to ESPN.com. d'Arnaud is expected to be in the lineup on Friday when the Mets open a three-game series against the Nationals.

d'Arnaud had been out since June 20 with a sprained elbow. Before being shut down, d'Arnaud was hitting .267 with two home runs and seven RBI in eight games following an initial stint on the DL.

Mets manager Terry Collins confirmed catcher Travis d'Arnaud will be activated off the disabled list Friday. Collins added d'Arnaud will be eased back into action and won't catch more than two or three games in a row.

He has been on the disabled list since June 23 due to a sprained left elbow. He has been active for only 19 games this season due to injury.

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud is ready to come off the disabled list and will likely be activated prior to Friday's game against the Nationals, according to MLB.com.

D'Arnaud traveled to New York after going 1 for 5 for Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday, according to the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin.

He has been on the disabled list since June 23 due to a sprained left elbow. He has been active for only 19 games this season due to injury.

D'Arnaud hit safely in all five games on a rehab assignment with Binghamton. He hit .300 (6 for 20) with one double, one RBI, three runs and two strikeouts.

Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain and catcher Salvador Perez were held out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game at Cleveland. Drew Butera started for Perez and Jarrod Dyson started in Cain's absence.

Perez is hitless in his last four games (13 at-bats) and is batting .169 through 20 July games. Cain has had a much better month offensively, posting a .366/.422/.683/1.105 slash line through 21 July games.

Rays catcher Curt Casali went 3 for 4 with two home runs in Tuesday's win over Detroit. 

Casali became the second rookie catcher in MLB history to have back-to-back games with multiple home runs. Casali also went deep twice on Monday. 

The Mariners' Kenji Johjima also had back-to-back multi homer games in 2006. 

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud successfully caught the entire game on Tuesday with Double-A Binghampton, as he continues to recover from a sprained elbow. d'Arnaud went 1 for 4 in the 3-0 victory.

The Mets have not laid out the next step in his rehab assignment, but the team is hoping to have him back in the lineup by this coming weekend. d'Arnaud has been on the disabled list since June 20.

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud went 1 for 3 with a single in a Double-A rehab game on Monday.

d'Arnaud is working his way back from a sprained left elbow. He is expected to catch a full rehab game on Tuesday.

"I feel great, and I'm excited to get back whenever they feel like I'm ready," d'Arnaud said, per ESPN.com.

Rays catcher Curt Casali smacked two home runs to help send the Rays to a 5-2 win over the Tigers on Monday.

Casali hit his fifth home run of the season off Anibal Sanchez in the third inning and his sixth off Bruce Rondon in the eighth inning. He finished the game 3 for 4 with three RBI.

Prior to Monday's win, Casali was hitting .167 with two home runs and four RBI in his last 11 games.
