Bart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Bart will take a seat for the series finale while the playing time at catcher appears to be tilting back in favor of Henry Davis. Over the last six games, Bart has drawn just two starts to Davis' four.

Rogers went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Royals.

Picking up a start in place of Dillon Dingler, Rogers managed his third double of the season and collected his 15th and 16th RBI. It's been a struggle for the veteran catcher, who is slashing just .182/.278/.323 overall. The drop in power is noticeable, as Rogers had a .444 slugging percentage back in 2023, when he also smashed a career-high 21 home runs. The 30-year-old has had to settle for a backup role behind Dingler as his production has fallen off.

McGuire went 1-for-2 with a grand slam, a walk, five total RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Angels.

McGuire stretched the Cubs' lead to 6-0 with his grand slam in the fourth inning, and he added another RBI on a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The catcher entered Saturday just 1-for-14 with one RBI over seven games in August. Overall, he's at a .223/.250/.457 slash line with seven homers, 21 RBI, 15 runs scored and one double across 101 plate appearances this season.

Caratini went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Orioles.

Caratini launched a two-run homer in the first inning and added an RBI groundout in the third. It was the 32-year-old's first home run since the All-Star break, but he's still gone 12-for-37 with six RBI through 15 contests in August. For the year, he's slashing .265/.322/.422 with 11 long balls, 42 RBI, 31 runs scored and a steal across 326 plate appearances.

Torrens has been dealing with soreness in his catching hand but is available off the bench Saturday against Atlanta, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Torrens was surprisingly held out of the lineup Saturday for the third straight game, but it turns out his absence is due to soreness in his left hand. While he'll be available off the bench Saturday, Hayden Senger will draw another start behind the plate.

Torrens will yield to Hayden Senger behind the plate for a third straight game. It's a rather surprising development, considering Torrens was the favorite to take over the starting catcher role while Francisco Alvarez (thumb) is sidelined. Torrens started the first two games sans Alvarez and is slashing .210/.275/.299 in 233 plate appearances this season.

Diaz is not part of the starting lineup Saturday versus the Orioles.

This will be Diaz's first day off since Aug. 10, as he's been working as Houston's DH on days when he doesn't start behind the plate. He's done fine with a .279 batting average, two homers and five RBI in the 11 games since his last day out of the lineup, so his absence Saturday seems to be simply a rest day. Victor Caratini is behind the plate for the Astros on Saturday, while Jose Altuve is getting a turn at DH.

Adams is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

After making back-to-back starts behind the dish, Adams will yield to Drew Millas on Saturday. Adams is 16-for-50 (.320) with two homers in August.

Senger went 2-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta.

Called back up to the majors earlier in the week, Senger made his second straight start Friday and contributed to a 12-run eruption by the Mets offense with run-producing singles in the second and eighth innings. Luis Torrens will handle the majority of the work behind the plate while Francisco Alvarez (thumb) is sidelined once again, but Senger could see steady playing time if he keeps contributing with his bat -- all four of his RBI on the season have come in the last two games, and Torrens has a weak .186/.230/.214 slash line in 74 plate appearances since the beginning of July.

Quero went 15-for-38 (.395) with three home runs, five doubles, 15 RBI and a 5:8 BB:K over his last 11 games with Triple-A Nashville.

Quero -- who underwent right shoulder surgery in April of 2024 -- had not done much hitting before landing on the injured list in late July with a left shoulder injury, but he has been a man on a mission since being activated earlier this month. Quero is one of Milwaukee's top prospects at the catcher position and will turn 23 years old in October, and with him seemingly back at full strength, he figures to have a strong case to be the backup backstop for the Brewers in 2026.
