Teel went 1-for-2 with a run scored and two walks Friday against the Royals.

Teel made his big-league debut Friday night, hitting sixth while starting behind the plate. He worked a walk in his first plate appearance and laced a single to left field in the fourth inning for his first big-league hit. Teel should be a regular in the White Sox's lineup, though it remains unclear whether he will mix in at first base or designated hitter in addition to his work at catcher.

D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mariners.

D'Arnaud's homer in the fourth inning tied the game at 4-4. The catcher isn't quite alternating starts with fellow backstop Logan O'Hoppe, but d'Arnaud has done enough with the bat lately to command more than just a backup role. Pages put the Cardinals on the board in the second inning when he took Justin Wrobleski deep to left field for a 422-foot, two-run home run. Pages has struggled at the plate over his last 12 games (5-for-30), but he has logged three home runs and six RBI over that span.

X-rays on Moreno's hand came back negative after he was taken out of Friday's game versus Cincinnati, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports.

Moreno exited Friday's contest early after taking a wild pitch off his right hand, though he managed to escape the incident with just a bit of swelling. His availability going forward will depend on how swollen his hand is, so Jose Herrera may need to take over at catcher for a few days.

Moreno was removed from Friday's game against the Reds due to a hand injury, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

The D-backs haven't announced any details regarding the severity of his injury, though Jose Herrera could be in line for a start or two behind the dish if Moreno's hand continues to bother him.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for Friday's game against San Francisco.

Baldwin and Sean Murphy continue to alternate starts behind the dish, a trend that goes back eight games. Baldwin is in a bit of a rut, having just three hits in his last 23 at-bats. However, two of those hits were home runs.

Naylor is not in Cleveland's starting lineup against Houston on Friday.

Naylor will get a breather in the midst of a mini-slump, having gone 1-for-23 with 11 strikeouts over his last eight games. With Austin Hedges (concussion) on the 7-day injured list, Dom Nunez will start behind home plate and bat ninth.

The Guardians selected Nunez's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

The Guardians will turn to Nunez to serve as their temporary backup catcher while Austin Hedges (concussion) is on the injured list. Nunez has slashed just .136/.266/.369 through 125 plate appearances in the minors this season.

Diaz is not in the Padres' starting lineup against the Brewers on Friday.

Diaz will be idle for a second straight game while Martin Maldonado will serve behind home plate and bat ninth. Diaz has gone 3-for-24 with two runs, two RBI and eight strikeouts over his last 10 games.

The Guardians placed Hedges on the 7-day concussion IL on Friday.

Hedges will be eligible to return from the injured list next Friday, though his activation will depend on how quickly he's able to progress through MLB's concussion protocol. While Hedges is out, Dom Nunez will come up from Triple-A Columbus to give Cleveland extra depth at catcher.
