Fortes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

Fortes will sit for the second day in a row and the third time in four games while Christian Bethancourt gets another turn behind the plate. The Marlins have gotten minimal production from both of their catchers for most of the season, but Bethancourt has shown some semblance of life at the dish of late, going 6-for-13 with two doubles over his last four games. That may be enough to give him the edge on playing time for now over Fortes, who has turned in a .345 OPS over 78 plate appearances on the season.

Heineman (hamstring) began a rehab assignment Saturday with Double-A Portland and went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI while serving as a designated hitter.

On the 10-day injured list since April 23 with a right hamstring strain, Heineman will likely need to make multiple starts at catcher during his rehab assignment before he's activated. Heineman still has one minor-league option remaining, so he could eventually settle at Triple-A Worcester once activated if both of the Red Sox's top two backstops (Connor Wong and Reese McGuire) are both healthy.

Trevino went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's win over the Rays.

Trevino knocked a two-run shot in the fourth inning and tacked on an insurance run with his solo blast in the eighth. Entering Sunday's game, the veteran catcher had just two home runs through 78 plate appearances this season. He's now slashing .293/.341/.453 with four long balls -- matching his total over 55 games played last season -- and 14 RBI through 26 appearances.

Zavala went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Athletics.

Zavala took Kyle Muller deep in the sixth inning for his first home run of the year. It was just his second RBI and third extra-base hit on the season, as he only has 31 plate appearances while operating as the team's backup catcher to Cal Raleigh.

Fry went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and two walks in Sunday's 7-0 win over the White Sox.

Fry belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning and later reached base twice more. The breakout utility man has gone 10-for-28 (.357) with four extra-base hits over his last 10 games. Through 27 games, Fry is slashing .309/.437/.515 with three home runs and 14 runs scored.

Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Rutschman notched his sixth long ball of the campaign, tagging Zac Gallen for a solo home run in the sixth inning. After seeing his batting average jump from .254 to .277 last season, Rutschman has taken another step forward at the plate in 2024, slashing .304/.339/.453 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored across 38 games.

Bailey was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Reds due to a viral illness, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bailey was a late removal from the team's lineup ahead of their series finale with Cincinnati, which is now understood to have been the result of an illness. If the catcher is forced to miss any further time, Blake Sabol will likely operate as the team's exclusive catcher.

Bailey has been scratched from the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bailey was set to start at DH and bat in the cleanup spot, but he has since been removed from the lineup. Wilmer Flores will take over as the designated hitter Sunday and will bat fourth against Reds right-hander Frankie Montas.

D'Arnaud is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Mets.

D'Arnaud will get a breather Sunday after starting in each of the last four games. He's gone 4-for-18 in May but has registered a hit in each of his last three contests. Chadwick Tromp will start behind the plate and bat ninth against Mets right-hander Luis Severino.

Raleigh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

After catching each of the past four days, Raleigh will get a breather for the series finale. Seby Zavala will get the starting nod behind the dish Sunday.
