Smith went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, a double, a walk and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-2 win over the Padres.

Smith had gone 0-for-11 with four walks over his last three games before breaking out of the slump. His fourth-inning blast put the Dodgers firmly in control in the blowout victory. The catcher also snapped a 10-game homer drought with his 18th long ball of the season. He's maintained a .269/.367/.450 slash line with 71 RBI, 74 runs scored and three stolen bases over 115 contests.

Sabol went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Guardians.

Sabol has just three hits over his last 15 at-bats, but two of them have been homers, and he's accounted for four RBI in that span. The catcher's fifth-inning blast Tuesday was the Giants' lone run of the contest. He's up to a .244/.306/.409 slash line with 13 long balls, 42 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases over 101 games this season. With Patrick Bailey (concussion) likely returning Wednesday, Sabol's playing time is probably set to be reduced.

Pinto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Twins.

Pinto snapped out of a brief 0-for-9 slump with his multi-hit effort. PInto's enjoyed a hot start to September, batting .286 with four home runs and eight total RBI across nine games.

Contreras was removed from Tuesday's game against Baltimore with a right hand contusion, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

It's unclear how serious the injury that caused Contreras' removal is, but he was replaced by Andrew Knizner after the fifth inning. Contreras should be considered day-to-day going forward.

Lee isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Royals, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Lee's offensive woes continued during the first game of Tuesday's action, as he went 0-for-3 to bring his batting average down to just .081. Yasmani Grandal will start behind the plate during the nightcap and bat fifth.

Campusano isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Campusano will get a breather Tuesday after going 9-for-28 with seven RBI and four runs scored across nine games since the beginning of September. Brett Sullivan will take over behind the dish and bat eighth.

Bailey (head) said he expects to be activated from the 7-day concussion injured list Wednesday, Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Bailey was diagnosed with a mild concussion following a home-plate collision with Jeimer Candelario last Tuesday. Joey Bart and Blake Sabol have been sharing starts at catcher for the Giants during Bailey's one-week absence.

Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

With lefty Sean Manaea set to start Tuesday for San Francisco, the lefty-hitting Naylor will stay put in Cleveland's dugout for the beginning of the game. David Fry will fill in behind the dish and bat fourth.

Kirk is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers.

Kirk is hitting .250 with three doubles, five runs and four RBI in 10 games this month. Tyler Heineman is starting behind the plate, batting ninth.

Murphy is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies.

Travis d'Arnaud will start at catcher and bat sixth versus right-hander Zack Wheeler. Murphy continues to get regular days of rest as the runaway NL East leaders look ahead to the postseason.
