Malloy went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

The rookie has gotten off to a sluggish start in the majors, as he's still batting only .175 with a 38 percent strikeout rate after Sunday. Despite the struggles, Malloy has good power potential, and his prospect pedigree suggests that he'll figure it out at some point. However, fantasy managers may have to remain patient in the short term.

Garver (wrist) had X-rays on his right wrist come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Sunday's loss to the Twins, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Garver appears to have avoided a significant injury after exiting Sunday's contest early. Manager Scott Servais said the team will reevaluate Garver's status following Monday's off day, but the 33-year-old can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Garver left Sunday's game against the Twins in the third inning due to a right wrist contusion, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Garver was struck in the right wrist by a 92.7 mph sinker from Joe Ryan in the bottom of the second inning. He then exited the contest in the following frame. With Seattle having an off day Monday, the 33-year-old will have extra time to nurse the injury before Tuesday's series opener with the Orioles.

Garver was removed from Sunday's game against the Twins after being hit by a pitch on the wrist, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Garver remained in the game to run the bases but was lifted in the following frame. The specifics of the injury are unclear, but the catcher could be headed for X-rays. The Mariners were forced to give up the designated hitter as Cal Raleigh took over behind the plate.

Stanton (hamstring) resumed activity on a treadmill Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Given the nature of Stanton's injury, any work on a treadmill is a sign of positive progress, though manager Aaron Boone characterized the slugger's activity level as "not a lot." Stanton went on the injured list with a hamstring strain June 23 and subsequently said he expects to miss about four weeks of action, so he's not expected to be activated until after the All-Star break. The veteran had been swinging a hot bat prior to getting hurt, slashing .378/.439/.649 with three homers and nine RBI during a 10-game hitting streak.

Jimenez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Jimenez will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout after starting in the last two games, going 1-for-6 with one walk. It's a planned off day for Jimenez, who is still working his way back from a left hamstring strain. Gavin Sheets (heel) will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the cleanup spot against Colorado right-hander Cal Quantrill.

Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Mets.

The 27-year-old slugger consistently got himself into scoring position, but the rest of the Houston lineup had trouble bringing him around. Since missing a couple games earlier in the month to attend to a personal matter, Alvarez has gone 9-for-27 (.333) in seven contests with three doubles, two homers, four RBI and five runs. Friday's steal was also his career-high fourth of the season -- he came into 2024 with only two in 482 career games.

Malloy is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.

Calhoun went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers in a 5-0 win Thursday.

Calhoun hit one of three Angels homers in the contest, smashing a solo shot in the fourth inning. The long ball was just his second through 162 plate appearances this season, though the veteran has also recorded 12 doubles. Calhoun has been a nice addition to Los Angeles' lineup with a .280/.327/.400 slash line and 13.6 strikeout rate while serving as the team's primary DH against right-handed pitching.
