Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Closing in on rehab assignment
Jimenez (abdomen) is getting close to going out on a rehab assignment, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Jimenez underwent an emergency appendectomy May 6 but has been working out lately without issue and his clearance for game action appears imminent. The slugger had stated previously that he hopes to be activated by the end of this week, and it would seem he has a shot to meet that goal.

Brandon Belt DH | TOR
Blue Jays' Brandon Belt: Sitting Monday
Belt is not in the starting lineup Monday against the Rays.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Punches out nine
Ohtani allowed one run on two hits and three walks over six innings during Sunday's win over Minnesota. He struck out nine and did not factor in the decision. At the plate, he went 1-for-3 with a walk.
After several rough starts, Ohtani was back to his usual self on the mound Sunday. He allowed one run in the third inning but otherwise faced little threat from the Twins. Ohtani ended his outing with four consecutive strikeouts and totaled 22 whiffs on 99 pitches. He'd allowed at least three runs in four straight outings entering Sunday but he still owns a strong 3.05 ERA for the year. His next start is currently projected to be at home against the Marlins.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Out of lineup Sunday
Buxton (calf) is out of the lineup against the Angels on Sunday.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Another multi-hit effort in loss
Rooker went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.
Rooker put the Athletics' first run of the night on the board with his fourth-inning knock, which plated Ryan Noda. The 28-year-old's multi-hit effort was his fourth in the last 10 games and snapped him out of a brief 0-for-8 skid over his last two games that included a highly atypical four-strikeout tally in Friday's series opener.

Red Sox's Justin Turner: Remains out Sunday
Turner (knee) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres
Turner was removed from Friday's game against San Diego with left knee soreness, and while manager Alex Cora was hopeful for a return to the lineup on Sunday, Turner will miss at least one more game while recuperating. Masataka Yoshida will be the designated hitter for Sunday's finale while Ramiel Tapia gets the start in left.
