Martinez went 1-for-5 with a triple and an RBI Friday against Oakland.

Martinez has been tearing the cover of the ball of late with a six-game hitting streak, and he's hit safely in nine of the past 10 games. The power-hitting outfielder has four home runs, a total of nine extra-base hits and 10 RBI over that span.

The Indians are hopeful that Brantley (shoulder) will be able to ramp up his rehab work soon, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. "He'll take some dry swings today and might do some tee work depending on how he feels," said manager Terry Francona. "We haven't been real aggressive with this. We wanted to let this anti-inflammatory shot really do its work. Now we'll start to ramp him up. Like we said all along, we want him to get better and stay better. So we've been a little bit cautious the first nine or 10 days back into it."

The Indians figure to proceed with caution to make sure Brantley's able to avoid any further setbacks once he's back in the lineup but he doesn't appear to be near an imminent return given his current status.

Goins went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI Wednesday against the Yankees.

The 28-year-old Goins snapped an 0-for-13 skid with a double against the Yankees, although he has hit for .136 over his past 10 games. Goins is not known for his offense, but it's no secret he needs to do better at the plate.

Canha (hip) underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair an impingement and torn labrum, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wednesday's surgery will officially put an end to Canha's 2016 campaign after being diagnosed with hip issues in mid-May. In his absence, Yonder Alonso figures to see a good portion of the starts at first base, but the likes of Stephen Vogt, Matt McBride, and Billy Butler will also factor into the equation for the rest of the season.

Miller is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Roger Mooney of The Tampa Tribune reports.

Per usual, Miller will take a seat with southpaw Justin Nicolino on the mound for the Marlins. Miller is hitting .233 with five home runs, 15 RBI, and 11 runs scored this season.

Cabrera went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a strikeout Tuesday against the Phillies.

Cabrera drove in Detroit's two first runs, and the Venezuelan has been one of the hottest hitters of late with hits in nine of the past 10 games. He's hit seven home runs over that span.

Miller went 2-for-3 with two walks, a pair of stolen bases and a run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

The matchup with Marlins right-handed starter Tom Koehler certainly favored Miller, who owns a .750 career OPS against righties, compared to a .589 mark against lefties. That discrepancy may force Miller into a platoon with Taylor Motter at shortstop, but his combination of speed and pop and eligibility at two positions (shortstop and outfield) in most formats give him a decent floor in fantasy.

Cabrera went 3-for-3 with a walk, two homers, a double, two RBI and three runs in Monday's 5-4 victory over the Phillies.

Cabrera's second two-homer game in four days included an opposite-field loft in the third inning and a drive to left in the fifth, both of which tied the game. Both came off Phillies starter Vince Velasquez. Cabrera doubled to right-center off reliever Colton Murray (0-1) in the seventh, putting him in position to score the winning run on a single by Victor Martinez. Cabrera's double was the 500th of his career, making him the 62nd player to reach the mark. Monday was also his 20th career game going 3-for-3 or better with a home run. Only Barry Bonds (23) and Lou Gehrig (21) have more such games in major league history.

Cabrera (knee) is back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Cabrera left Sundays' game with a left knee contusion, but it doesn't appear to have been serious as he is back in his usual position at first base and hitting third. The 33-year-old has been outstanding this season, hitting .315/.388/.537 with nine home runs and 26 RBI through 43 games.

Brantley (shoulder) will resume hitting activities Tuesday, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Brantley remains on the 15-day DL with a shoulder injury, but this is a step in the right direction for his recovery. The 29-year-old is hitting .231 and has yet to hit a home run through 11 games this season.
