Pederson went 1-for-2 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 12-3 win over the Dodgers.

Pederson got the rout started early against his former team with a first-inning solo homer. It was his second home run in the last three games and 12th of the season. Pederson maintains career highs in average (.284) and OPS (.896), mostly against right-handed pitching. Just 18 of his 250 plate appearances have come against left-handers.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Schwarber (groin) is going through drills at 90 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Meanwhile, Thomson pegged Bryce Harper (hamstring) and J.T. Realmuto (knee) at 70-to-75 percent as they go through drills. While it's possible all three players make it back prior to the All-Star break, Schwarber would appear to have the best shot to do so. He's coming back from a left groin strain.

Martinez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Martinez returned to action Wednesday after missing one game due to ankle soreness, but he'll head back to the bench for Thursday's 11:05 AM ET start. DJ Stewart will bat fifth as the designated hitter in the series finale at Washington.

Peralta went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Peralta has slipped into a bench role after batting just .209 over 23 games in June. This was his first start since June 23, and he made the most of it by providing the Padres' winning hit, a two-run homer in the seventh inning, which was Peralta's first long ball this year. He's slashing a meager .210/.300/.290 with six RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases over 70 plate appearances. Bryce Johnson, who is hitting .182 on the year, has handled right field lately, but Peralta may claw back some playing time if he can build on Wednesday's performance.

Machado went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Machado has picked up the pace in the power department with five homers over his last 12 contests. He's batting .354 (17-for-48) in that span while adding 14 RBI. The third baseman is up to .264/.314/.411 slash line with 11 homers, 47 RBI, 39 runs scored and five stolen bases over 82 contests. Considering he's exceeded 30 homers seven times in his career, it shouldn't be surprising if he has a big second half in 2024, though his slow start could prevent him from reaching that milestone this year.

Martinez (ankle) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The 36-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to ankle soreness, which apparently surfaced because he was forced to try out a new pair of cleats. Martinez has since received another shipment of his usual cleats and shouldn't have any issues going forward.

Carpenter is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh.

The Cardinals are giving Brandon Crawford a start in the designated hitter spot. Carpenter had started the first game of the series against the Pirates, going 1-for-5 with a run scored.

McCutchen went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Cardinals.

McCutchen has cooled considerably since mid-June, as he's hitting only .154 across his last 11 games. However, he managed his 12th homer of the season and second in his last five starts Tuesday, continuing a surprising resurgence of power. His ISO is currently .169, McCutchen's highest mark since the 2021 season.

Soler went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Soler hit .284 in June, but he had just three homers over 26 contests for the month. He's off to a decent start in July, though his power remains down overall. The designated hitter is slashing .229/.309/.406 with 10 homers, 32 RBI, 42 runs scored, 17 doubles and no stolen bases through 73 games this season. His .177 ISO is the lowest it's been since the 2017 campaign.

Pederson had gone six games without a homer or a multi-hit effort before snapping both droughts Tuesday. His ninth-inning blast briefly put the Diamondbacks ahead before the Dodgers responded in their half of the frame. Pederson is up to 11 homers this year while slashing a hearty .286/.378/.507 with 35 RBI, 31 runs scored and four stolen bases over 239 plate appearances in his usual strong-side platoon role.
