McCutchen notched his first homer of 2024 on Sunday, plating Ke'Bryan Hayes as part of a two-run knock off Ricardo Pinto in the ninth inning. The long ball was the 300th of McCutchen's storied MLB career, and he became the 160th player to reach the milestone. McCutchen has gotten out of the gates slowly in year 16, slashing .194/.326/.333 with a 37.2 percent strikeout rate through nine games.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Rays.

Soler went seven games without a long ball, and he hit just .125 (3-for-24) with five walks in that span. The designated hitter's power has been there for the Giants so far with three homers through 15 games, but he's batting just .208 with four RBI, nine runs scored, three doubles and a 10:13 BB:K over 64 plate appearances.

Stewart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Stewart will take a seat to begin Sunday's game while the Royals bring left-hander Cole Ragans to the hill. With Stewart on the bench, Starling Marte will serve as the Mets' designated hitter, and Tyrone Taylor will draw a start in right field.

Bryant (back/ribs) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Bryant was removed in the fourth inning of Saturday's 5-3 loss after experiencing soreness in his right ribs and back, but at this stage, Rockies manager Bud Black isn't expecting the 32-year-old to miss much time, according to the Associated Press. The four-time All-Star's injury stems from when he twisted around and crashed into the outfield wall after making a catch on a deep drive off the bat of Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning. Bryant was able to stay in the game initially and doubled in his at-bat in the second inning, but he struck out in his next at-bat in the fourth inning and was pulled in the bottom of the frame when his back stiffened up. Consider Bryant day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Philadelphia.

Schwarber went 3-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Pirates.

Incredibly, all five of his plate appearances came against southpaws, marking the first time in his career that Schwarber had reached base five times in the same game against same-handed pitching. Per Paul Casella of MLB.com, he's only the third left-handed batter in the last eight years to accomplish that platoon-defying feat, joining Juan Soto and Anthony Rizzo. Schwarber has had a solid start to the season, slashing .259/.358/.414 through 15 games with three homers, a steal, six RBI and 11 runs.

Ohtani went 0-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base in a 5-2 win against the Padres on Saturday.

Ohtani had his eight-game hitting streak snapped Saturday, but he still reached base twice and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. The slugger added to his fantasy output with his second theft of the campaign. Ohtani hasn't had much difficulty adjusting to the National League, slashing .343/.392/.686 with four home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs and a 7:14 BB:K through 79 plate appearances.

Bryant left Saturday's game against Toronto due to back tightness, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

Bryant's back reportedly tightened up on him after he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch in the first inning of Saturday's contest. He played a few more innings afterward but had to come out of the game in the fourth inning. The severity of his back injury remains unknown, but he should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Bryant was removed early from Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Bryant crashed into the outfield wall while making a catch during the first inning, but he wasn't pulled from the game until the fourth. It's unclear at the moment if his removal had anything to do with his collision, but the Rockies should offer more information in the near future. In the meantime, Michael Toglia will fill in as Colorado's right fielder.

Meneses isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Meneses went 1-for-4 during Friday's loss to the A's and will now receive his second day off in Washington's last three games. Jesse Winker will instead serve as the Nationals' DH, moving Eddie Rosario to left field while Jacob Young starts in center.
