Rockies' Kris Bryant: Exits early Saturday
Bryant was removed early from Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Bryant crashed into the outfield wall while making a catch during the first inning, but he wasn't pulled from the game until the fourth. It's unclear at the moment if his removal had anything to do with his collision, but the Rockies should offer more information in the near future. In the meantime, Michael Toglia will fill in as Colorado's right fielder.

Nationals' Joey Meneses: Resting Saturday
Meneses isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Meneses went 1-for-4 during Friday's loss to the A's and will now receive his second day off in Washington's last three games. Jesse Winker will instead serve as the Nationals' DH, moving Eddie Rosario to left field while Jacob Young starts in center.

Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Idle Saturday
McCutchen isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Saturday's matchup versus Philadelphia.
McCutchen has gone hitless through seven at-bats and struck out four times in the first two games of Pittsburgh's series with the Phillies, so he'll get a day to regroup Saturday. Edward Olivares will assume DH duties and bat fifth while the 37-year-old veteran rests.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Friday in an 8-7 extra-innings victory against the Dodgers.
Machado got the Padres off to a nice start with a two-run blast in the first inning. Though he didn't collect another hit in the contest, it was still a promising development for the third baseman since the homer snapped an 11-game stretch without a long ball. Machado is still batting just .238 on the campaign, but he's been heating up of late, slashing .320/.346/.480 during his current six-game hitting streak.

Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Slugs sixth homer
Ozuna went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 8-1 win over the Marlins.
The veteran slugger capped his big day with a solo shot off Matt Andriese in the ninth inning. Ozuna's been red hot begin the season, batting .360 (18-for-50) through 12 games with six homers, 10 runs and 16 RBI, and the former Marlin continues to enjoy hitting in LoanDepot Park -- through 347 career games in Miami, Ozuna has slashed .295/.347/.496 with 57 home runs.

Bryant went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI on Friday against the Blue Jays.
Bryant managed his second multi-hit performance of the season, with the highlight being a two-run double in the fourth frame. That marked his second extra-base hit across 47 plate appearances to begin the campaign, good for just a .075 ISO.

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Blasts fourth homer
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Friday's loss to the Padres.
Ohtani opened the scoring for the Dodgers, crushing a 403-foot homer to center off Michael King in the first inning. With his three-hit evening, the Dodgers designated hitter extended his current hitting streak to eight games. Ohtani is showing no ill effects from his offseason elbow surgery, slashing .353/.392/.706 over 74 plate appearances.

He'll take a seat for the first time all season while Joey Gallo and Jesse Winker pick up starts at first base and designated hitter, respectively. Through the Nationals' first 11 games, Meneses has slashed .190/.271/.214 with no home runs or stolen bases, two RBI and one run.

The lefty-hitting Pederson will take a seat for the fourth time in five games while the Diamondbacks once again face off against a southpaw (Austin Gomber) in the series finale in Colorado. Pederson should serve as Arizona's primary designated hitter against right-handed starting pitchers, but he'll give way to Ketel Marte with Gomber on the bump.
