  • Mets' Daniel Vogelbach: Sitting Thursday

Vogelbach isn't in the Mets' lineup Thursday against Atlanta.

Vogelbach is slashing just .077/.143/.154 over the past week and has started to see his playing time diminish as a result. Francisco Alvarez will serve as the Mets' DH in Vogelbach's place, allowing Omar Narvaez to start behind the plate and bat eighth.

  • Mark Canha LF | TEX

Mets' Mark Canha: Day off Thursday

Canha isn't starting Thursday against Atlanta.

After going 0-for-4 during Wednesday's contest, Canha will take a seat for the second time in the Mets' last three games. Tommy Pham will take his place in left field while batting seventh.

  • Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Enjoying productive stretch

Blackmon went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday against the Giants.

Blackmon tallied a pair of RBI with a double in the second inning. He's taken advantage of a stretch of consecutive home games to tally nine RBI and 10 runs scored across his last 12 contests. Across 231 plate appearances, Blackmon is maintaining a wRC+ above 100 for the first time since 2019.

  • Matt Carpenter DH | STL

Padres' Matt Carpenter: Two hits, steal Wednesday

Carpenter went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a steal in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Mariners.

Carpenter opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning before adding a second base hit in the third. It's just the second multi-hit game for Carpenter since the start of May, while the stolen base was his first since the 2021 season. Carpenter started the day in a 4-for-36 (.111) slump over his last 11 contests, though he's still seen regular playing time against right-handed pitching. He's slashing .192/.303/.362 with four homers, 26 RBI and 14 runs scored through 156 plate appearances this year.

  • Cubs' Christopher Morel: Out again Wednesday

Morel is out of the lineup again Wednesday versus the Angels.

It's the second straight absence for Morel, who has fallen into a 1-for-25 rut since his explosive couple of weeks in May. Trey Mancini is serving as the Cubs' designated hitter Wednesday and Mike Tauchman will patrol center field.

  • Jorge Soler DH | LAA

Marlins' Jorge Soler: Out Wednesday vs. Royals

Soler is not in the starting lineup against the Royals on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Soler returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing Monday's game with thumb soreness. It's not yet known whether his absence against Kansas City on Wednesday is related to that particular injury. Bryan De La Cruz is the designated hitter with Soler out while Jon Berti lines up in left field.

  • J.D. Martinez DH | NYM

Dodgers' J.D. Martinez: Goes yard again Tuesday

Martinez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Reds.

Martinez kicked off the fourth with a solo homer to left and tacked on an additional RBI with a sacrifice fly. Dating back to May 15, the 35-year-old has notched at least one hit in 18 of 19 games and is slashing .321/.333/.769 with 10 homers, 25 RBI and 15 runs scored over that span. He sits at 15 home runs and 43 RBI through 45 games this season after having just 16 homers and 62 RBI in 139 games for Boston in 2022. It's unlikely he sustains his recent pace at the plate, but Martinez has certainly looked comfortable in his first year as a Dodger thus far.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Giants' Joc Pederson: Solid in return

Pederson went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Rockies.

Pederson missed over three weeks with a hand injury. With the Giants taking control of the game early, he ceded his spot in the lineup to pinch hitter Wilmer Flores in the seventh inning. Pederson should be in the lineup as a strong-side platoon option at designated hitter going forward, but he's unlikely to play much versus southpaws. In that role, he's posted a .241/.366/.494 slash line with five home runs, 18 RBI, 13 runs scored, four doubles and a triple through 27 contests.

  • Cubs' Christopher Morel: On bench amid slump

Morel is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels.

Mike Tauchman is playing center field and Miguel Amaya will take a turn as the Cubs' designated hitter. Morel still boasts strong overall numbers, but he's gone hitless with eight strikeouts over his last 22 plate appearances.

  • Matt Carpenter DH | STL

Padres' Matt Carpenter: Not in lineup Tuesday

Carpenter is absent from the Padres' lineup Tuesday versus the Mariners.

Gary Sanchez will take a turn at designated hitter and Austin Nola will start behind the plate against the Mariners and right-hander Logan Gilbert. Carpenter is 2-for-11 so far in June.
