Pederson left Monday's game against the Rockies after suffering an injury on a leaping catch at the wall, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Pederson made a spectacular grab, robbing Charlie Blackmon of a three-run home run, but he paid the price. Pederson went down temporarily, though he was eventually able to walk off the field under his own power. Enrique Hernandez replaced the 27-year-old in right field.

Turner is not starting Monday against the Rockies, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Turner owns an excellent 1.139 OPS with nine homers over his last 18 games. He could be a candidate for fairly frequent rest days down the stretch with the Dodgers holding an 18-game division lead. Matt Beaty will be the third baseman Monday.

Carpenter is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.

He is slashing .233/.331/.476 with six homers and 15 RBI in 118 plate appearances between Cleveland and Philadelphia this season.

Pederson hit a solo pinch-hit homer in Sunday's 4-3 win over Arizona.

He has played in every game for the Cardinals since returning from the injured list Aug. 3, hitting .283 at the plate with four home runs and 15 RBI. He will get a much-deserved rest Sunday night and figures to be back in the lineup Monday at home against the Giants. Tyler O'Neill is starting in left field in his place and hitting fourth.
