Mets infielder Justin Turner remained out of the starting lineup Friday against the Marlins as he continues to nurse a hamstring strain. Turner has been sidelined since Tuesday and is expected to return at some point next week.

Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is in the team's starting lineup Thursday against the Mets. 

Harper missed some time with a hip injury, but was able to return Wednesday. The fact that he's able to play consecutive games is a good sign moving forward. Harper is hitting .273 in 363 at-bats. 

Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was the offensive star of Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Braves, going 2 for 3 with one walk, three RBI and his 20th home run of the season.

The home run was his seventh in his last 22 games dating back to Aug. 17. In a season where an injury cost Stanton over a month of time, he has hit .253/.370/.485 with 20 homers and 50 RBI in 359 at-bats.

Making his return to the lineup for the first time since Friday due to hip inflammation, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper went 1 for 4 in his team's 3-0 win over the Mets Wednesday.

Harper has hit just six of his 19 homers in the second half but put together an 11-game hit streak near the end of August and had walked at least once in each of his four September games before Wednesday. He has hit .273/.376/.501 in 363 at-bats.

Mets infielder Justin Turner has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain, ESPN New York reports. Turner has been out since Tuesday with the injury and is expected to miss about a week.

Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is back in the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, the Washington Post reports.

Harper has been out since Sept. 6 with hip inflammation. Harper has played in just 101 games this year but still has 19 homers and eight steals to go with a .273/.377/.504 batting line.

Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen is out of Wednesday's lineup against Texas, the club announced. McCutchen has started the past 29 consecutive games for Pittsburgh and will get Wednesday's day game off following Tuesday's night game.

Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton made his presence felt at the dish in his first game back from injury Tuesday night against the Braves.

Stanton lined a run-scoring double that sparked a three-run rally in the opening frame. He finished 1 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI in a 4-3 defeat. He owns a .250/.366/.475 slash line with 19 homers and 47 RBI in 356 at-bats.

Mets infielder Justin Turner was forced out of Tuesday's game against the Nationals in the seventh with tightness in his right hamstring.

Turner appeared to have sustained the injury while rounding third base. He is listed as day to day.

Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton has returned to the team's starting lineup Tuesday against the Braves.

Stanton has been out since September 7 with an ankle injury. Stanton is hitting .249/.365/.473 in 353 at-bats.
