Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a walk and a pair of RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Toronto.

Ohtani's two-run single was a key part of a four-run ninth inning that secured the victory for the Halos. The talented two-way star has delivered in both of his roles, slashing .308/.364/.582 at the plate while posting a 3.35 ERA with an 11.6 K/9 on the mound. The 23-year-old should get another start or two as a hitter before taking the mound Sunday against the Yankees.

Ozuna overslept and did not report to the ballpark on time, which is why he was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup against the Royals, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

It sounds like it was a one-game benching, and the Cardinals and Ozuna will put the issue behind them heading into this weekend's series in Pittsburgh. Tyler O'Neill got the start in left field and went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts and a run. Ozuna is hitting .253/.295/.331 with three home runs and three steals in 190 plate appearances.

Choi was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs after Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With Ryan Braun (back) getting activated from the disabled list, the Brewers no longer needed Choi to serve as the backup first baseman. He is 4-for-15 with one home run and seven strikeouts in his brief work in the majors this season.

Cabrera (hamstring) completed a batting practice session Tuesday and drove a couple balls into the second deck at Target Field, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

While Cabrera hasn't added more baseball activities to his rehab regimen -- he also took batting practice Sunday -- he displayed noteworthy improvement during his round Tuesday. After struggling to finish through his swing Sunday, Cabrera demonstrated no such limitations with his power Tuesday, spraying balls over the fence to all fields. Cabrera will still need to take part in some baserunning without issue before the Tigers have a clearer idea regarding when he'll return from the 10-day disabled list, but his health at least seems to be trending in the right direction.

Miller will take a seat Wednesday against the Red Sox, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Miller is on the bench for the second day in a row, as the Rays face another left-handed pitcher in David Price. C.J. Cron will take his place and bat second.

Reyes is not starting Wednesday in Washington.

Reyes will sit after starting six straight games. Travis Jankowski gets the start in right. After a very impressive power output at the Triple-A level, Reyes has so far struggled to translate his success to the big leagues. He has just five hits in 24 at-bats, striking out 36 percent of the time.

Ozuna is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Ozuna was originally listed as a part of the starting lineup, but he turned out to be a late scratch. It's unclear if he's dealing with an injury, but more news about Ozuna's status should be released in the near future. Tyler O'Neill will draw the start in left field and hit fourth in his stead.

Canha went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in an extra-inning loss to the Mariners on Tuesday.

Canha broke out of a 1-for-16 slump that encompassed the last four games. The 29-year-old outfielder has slowed considerably in May after hitting .308 in April, but his season line remains a solid .261/.317/.486 over 120 plate appearances.

Vogelbach went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run in an extra-inning win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Vogelbach was recalled earlier in the day from Triple-A Tacoma after Dee Gordon (toe) was placed on the disabled list. The 25-year-old was dominating Triple-A pitching since his April 25 demotion, slashing .301/.449/.711 with nine home runs and 15 RBI across 107 plate appearances. He'll try to carry over some of that success into the big leagues, which have proven much more challenging to him thus far in his three prior Mariners stints.

Ozuna went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

A day off Sunday appears to have agreed with Ozuna, who's now 5-for-7 with an RBI, a walk, Tuesday's steal and two runs in the subsequent pair of games. The mini-surge has quickly bumped his season average up 19 points to .253, which nevertheless still lags considerably behind his solid career .275 figure. However, modest as a two-game sample is, it could serve as the impetus for the type of hot stretch at the plate that Ozuna has certainly proven capable of previously in his career.
