Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Indians' Michael Brantley: Receives injection in shoulder, no timetable for return
Brantley (shoulder) received an anti-inflammatory injection for his subacromial impingement Tuesday. The Indians announced that there is no timetable for his return.
The star outfielder was placed on the 15-day disabled list over the weekend after aggravating the same shoulder injury that forced him to start the year on the DL. He met with Dr. Craig Morgan on Tuesday and he received an injection to reduce inflammation in the area, but there is still no word on when Brantley will be able to resume baseball activities. In his absence, Jose Ramirez will likely see most of the playing time in left field for the Indians.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Cubs' Jorge Soler: Absent from Tuesday's lineup
Soler is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game with the Brewers.
This marks the second consecutive game that Soler has not started, and the fourth game since May 9. It seems that the 24-year-old is losing some playing time in the Cubs outfield while his batting average dips further, as it now sits well below the Mendoza Line at .174. It's unclear if this will become a trend or if it's just a short-term thing, but for Tuesday's matchup, he'll cede the start in left field to Kris Bryant while Javier Baez takes over at the hot corner.

Indians' Michael Brantley: Shoulder check-up "encouraging"
The Indians have not released the results of Brantley's trip to the doctor Tuesday, but manager Terry Francona said that the check-up on Brantley's shoulder was "encouraging," MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
An official and full update on Brantley's status figures to be available soon, but early indications point to the exam going well.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Marlins' Marcell Ozuna: Solo home run in Monday win extends streak
Ozuna mashed a solo home run to extend his hit streak to 16 games during Monday's win over the Phillies.
There are not many hotter hitters at the moment as Ozuna continues his assault on National League pitching. For the year, Ozuna is slashing .308/.353/.524 with seven home runs and 20 RBI. His peripheral numbers (23.5 K% and 6.5 BB%) are largely in line with his miserable 2015 season while he's nearly doubled his ISO from .124 in 2015 to .217 this year. While a high BABIP (.370) and 17.5-percent HR/FB point to some current luck and future regression, Ozuna has shown this type of power in the past and will remain a strong run producer batting behind Christian Yelich and Giancarlo Stanton.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Tigers' J.D. Martinez: Hits seventh homer against Twins
Martinez hit his seventh home run as part of a 3-for-4 game with two runs scored and two RBI Monday against the Twins.
Martinez now has four home runs in his past eight games and has pushed his batting line from .230/.299/.369 to a respectable .252/.335/.448 in that span. Martinez has a better strikeout rate (23.2 percent) and walk rate (10.4 percent) than last season but was beating the ball into the ground and had yet to show the power that set him apart in 2014 and 2015 (61 combined home runs). Now that it looks like Martinez has found his power stroke too, he could once again become one of the American League's most productive outfielders.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Not in Monday's lineup
Turner is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Angels.
This seems like a typical day off for Turner, although he is scuffling to the tune of a .182 batting average over his past seven games. Howie Kendrick will slide over to third base while Carl Crawford enters the lineup in left field.

Ryan Goins DH | KC
Blue Jays' Ryan Goins: Not in Monday's lineup
Goins is not in the lineup Monday against the Rays, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
Goins has been losing playing time to Darwin Barney as of late, but Monday's absence comes as no surprise, as the Rays are giving the ball to left-hander Drew Smyly to start the contest. Barney will bat ninth and play second base while filling in for Goins on Monday.
-
Brad Miller DH | SD
Rays' Brad Miller: Gets day off Monday
Miller is not in the starting lineup Monday against Jays left-hander J.A. Happ, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Taylor Motter will hit second and play shortstop for the Rays on Monday night while Miller gets a day off. Monday may be the only break Miller receives from the starting lineup this week as five right-handers are currently projected to face the Rays through the weekend.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Homers again Sunday
Cabrera went 2-for-5 with his sixth home run of the season and two RBI in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Orioles.
The home run was the game-winner, as Cabrera went back to back with J.D. Martinez in the eighth inning, and was also his second in as many games. After a slow April, Miggy has looked a little more like himself with a .314/.407/.451 slash line through 51 at-bats in May, and if his power is starting to come around as well, he could be poised for another big summer.
