Manager Dave Roberts said Turner (abdomen), who is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rockies, isn't expected to retake the field until at least Thursday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The veteran third baseman underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage in his abdomen, but he's still not expected to rejoin the lineup for at least a few more days. Roberts also said the Dodgers don't plan to place Turner on the injured list, assuming he's able to avoid any setbacks.

McCutchen went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk, a stolen base and a run Saturday in the Brewers' 9-4 win over the Red Sox.

McCutchen opened his big-league career with five straight 20-plus-steal seasons, but the running game isn't as significant of a part of his skill set in his age-35 campaign. Even so, McCutchen hasn't been entirely inactive on the bases, as his steal Saturday was his seventh of the season (in 12 attempts). He'll be back in action for Sunday's series finale, serving as Milwaukee's designated hitter while batting cleanup.

Ozuna is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Ozuna started the first eight games out of the All-Star break and will receive Sunday off after posting a .509 OPS and 34.4 percent strikeout rate during that stretch. William Contreras will take over as Atlanta's designated hitter Sunday.

Stanton (Achilles) hasn't yet returned to performing baseball activities, the Associated Press reports.

Stanton landed on the 10-day IL on July 26 and is eligible to return Aug. 3, but it doesn't appear likely that he'll be back after a minimum stay. The slugger was originally thought to be experiencing fatigue, but an MRI later turned up left Achilles tendinitis. It's unclear how long Stanton will be sidelined, but the organization may opt to take a conservative approach given his recent injury history.

Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in an 8-2 win against Kansas City on Saturday.

Carpenter made his first start in three games and came through with a solo shot to right field in the seventh inning. The homer was his 15th in only 40 games with the Yankees, and he's slashing an impressive .311/.425/.792 over that span. Despite the impressive numbers, Carpenter's playing time could take a hit with New York's acquisition of Andrew Benintendi, though the former is versatile enough to still carve out enough playing time to make an impact.

Buxton went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, an additional run and a stolen base in a 7-4 win against the Padres on Saturday.

Buxton took San Diego starter Joe Musgrove 434 feet deep to left in the fourth inning, walked in the sixth and singled, stole second and scored in the eighth. The dynamic 28-year-old has started the second half strong with three long balls in four games, while the theft was his second of July but only his third of the campaign. Buxton is slashing .222/.297/.556 with 26 home runs, 55 runs, 46 RBI and three stolen bases in 288 at-bats.

Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 9-7 win over the Rangers.

Ohtani gave the Angels their first lead in the back-and-forth game with his third-inning blast. He also walked in the eighth and came around to score the go-ahead run on a Luis Rengifo two-run double. Prior to Saturday, Ohtani had gone only 3-for-22 at the plate in his previous six games, though two of those hits went for extra bases. He's slashing .251/.346/.486 with 22 long balls, 62 RBI, 57 runs scored and 11 stolen bases through 422 plate appearances.

Morel isn't starting Saturday against the Giants.

Morel is getting a breather after he went 0-for-12 with two walks and three strikeouts over the last four games. David Bote will take his place at the keystone and bat ninth.

Winker is not in Saturday's lineup against the Astros.

Winker will head to the bench against tough southpaw Framber Valdez. Dylan Moore gets the start in left field, batting sixth.

Canha is not in Saturday's lineup against the Marlins.

This will be a situation to track, as the Mets have added lefty-hitting Tyler Naquin and could still add more offensive depth before the trade deadline. The righty-hitting Canha doesn't have pronounced platoon issues, but he may start sitting or hitting lower in the lineup against righties over the rest of the season.
