Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Grabs 28th save
Clase picked up the save in Thursday's 6-3 victory over the White Sox. He allowed two hits while striking out one over a scoreless inning.
Clase was able to work around a pair of two-out singles, striking out Andrew Benintendi to close out the Guardians' win and pick up his 28th save of the year. Clase has now thrown seven straight scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk in that span. His ERA is down to 3.02 with a 1.09 WHIP and 43:12 K:BB across 47.2 innings this season.

Angels' Zack Weiss: Returned to minors
Weiss was returned to Triple-A Salt Lake following Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
Weiss made his sixth big-league appearance of the season in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader, and he threw 0.2 innings while allowing one earned run. He'll remain a depth option should the Angels need relief help later in the campaign.

Zach Logue RP | LAD
Tigers' Zach Logue: Headed back to Toledo
Logue was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.
Logue has pitched primarily with Toledo this season, though he has made three appearances with the big-league club in July. He threw four innings in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Angels, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out five. Logue should be back in the majors at some point prior to the close of the campaign.

Xzavion Curry RP | MIA
Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Draws start for Friday
Curry will start Friday against the White Sox, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
As long as Cleveland is able to avoid using Curry during Thursday's contest, the 25-year-old righty is now set to make his third start of the season. Curry holds a 2.98 ERA and 1.16 WHIP through 54.1 innings across 26 appearances, though he hasn't pitched more than three innings since April.

Angels' Tucker Davidson: Pushed off 40-man roster
Davidson was designated for assignment Thursday, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.
New acquisition Reynaldo Lopez has officially been activated for the Angels' second game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Tigers, so roster space needed to be created. Davidson has put up a 6.54 ERA and 31:11 K:BB over 31.2 innings in a long relief role this season.

Tigers' Trey Wingenter: Promoted as 27th man
The Tigers promoted Wingenter from Triple-A Toledo to serve as the 27th man for Thursday's doubleheader against the Angels.
Wingenter hasn't performed very well in the majors this season, putting up an 8.31 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through 4.1 innings, and he has similar numbers in the minors as well. The 29-year-old righty will almost certainly return to Toledo after the end of Game 2.

White Sox's Sammy Peralta: Summoned to big leagues
Peralta was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The White Sox need some roster reinforcements following the Lucas Giolito/Reynaldo Lopez trade. Peralta, 25, made one appearance with the big club earlier this season and holds a 5.34 ERA and 60:18 K:BB over 59 innings this year at Charlotte.

Yankees' Wandy Peralta: Picks up 14th hold
Peralta earned a hold over the Mets on Wednesday with a perfect inning of work during which he struck out two batters.
Peralta handled the seventh inning with ease for New York, punching out the first two hitters he faced and retiring the side in order on 15 pitches. The southpaw spent some time closing in mid-May but has primarily worked as the Yankees' top setup man this season, securing a team-high 14 holds while compiling four saves, three wins, a 2.31 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP and a 32:21 K:BB over 39 innings. Peralta is two holds shy of his career-high mark set in 2017 as a member of the Reds.

Guardians' Nick Sandlin: Secures fifth win
Sandlin (5-3) allowed a run on two hits and struck out one over one inning to pick up the win Wednesday over the Royals.
Sandlin worked the fifth inning after starter Gavin Williams was inefficient over four scoreless frames (87 pitches). While Sandlin has struggled lately, giving up six runs over his last four innings, he's picked up two holds and a win in that span. He's at a 3.63 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB through 39.2 innings while continuing to fill a versatile role in the Guardians' bullpen.
