Guardians' Cody Morris: Recalled from Triple-A
Cleveland recalled Morris from Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Anthony Misiewicz RP | CIN
Yankees' Anthony Misiewicz: Claimed by Yankees
The Yankees claimed Misiewicz off waivers from the Tigers on Thursday and assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
After being designated for assignment by Detroit last week, Misiewicz will now join the Yankees' organization while remaining in Triple-A. The 28-year-old southpaw hasn't fared well in the majors or minors this season, but the slew of injuries within the Yankees' pitching staff could allow Misiewicz to join New York's bullpen at some point as a depth piece.

Chris Murphy RP | CHW
Red Sox's Chris Murphy: Deployed in bulk relief Tuesday
Murphy tossed 3.2 innings out of the bullpen in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers, giving up one run on five hits and one walk while striking out one.
Lefty Brennan Bernardino drew the start and covered 1.1 innings before the Red Sox turned the game over to five relievers to record the final 23 outs. Murphy ended up serving as the de facto bulk reliever, as none of Boston's other four bullpen arms notched more than four outs. Due to the depleted state of their rotation, the Red Sox don't have any obvious starting candidates for games Saturday or Sunday versus the Athletics, so there's a good chance that Murphy is called upon to cover multiple innings in one of those contests.

Nicholas Padilla RP | PHI
White Sox's Nicholas Padilla: Recalled from Triple-A
Padilla was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Padilla has collected a 4.91 ERA and 5:1 K:BB over 3.2 innings of work during his brief time in the big leagues this season. The White Sox figure to utilize him in low-leverage situations out of the bullpen.

Jimmy Lambert RP | CHW
White Sox's Jimmy Lambert: Added as 27th man
The White Sox recalled Lambert from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as the 27th man for Thursday's doubleheader with Toronto.
Lambert holds a 6.85 ERA and 1.84 WHIP through 22.1 innings in the majors, and he'll be called upon to provide extra depth to the White Sox's bullpen Thursday. Lambert will return to the minors after Thursday's games, and he is unlikely to see meaningful innings against Toronto.

Joe Kelly RP | LAD
White Sox's Joe Kelly: Heads to IL with sore elbow
Kelly was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday with right elbow inflammation, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Kelly closed out June on a strong note but allowed two runs in each of his first two appearances in July. Now he'll be down for at least the next couple weeks. Nicholas Padilla is taking his spot in the bullpen.

Isaiah Campbell RP | ARI
Mariners' Isaiah Campbell: Promoted to majors
Campbell was recalled from Double-A Arkansas on Thursday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Campbell will skip Triple-A and become a potential weapon for Seattle in relief. The 25-year-old right-hander has posted a sharp 2.01 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 106:25 K:BB across 89.1 career minor-league innings since being selected by the Mariners in the second round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Jay Jackson RP | MIN
Blue Jays' Jay Jackson: Up as 27th man
Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Jackson will serve as the 27th man for the Blue Jays during Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox. The 35-year-old has fared well during his brief time with the big club this season, allowing just one run while striking out six over 5.2 relief innings.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Royals' Ryan Yarbrough: Tosses six scoreless frames
Yarbrough (head) struck out six over six scoreless innings Tuesday in his rehab start for Triple-A Omaha. He scattered three hits and issued one walk in the 81-pitch outing.
Yarbrough was placed on the 15-day injured list May 8 after suffering multiple head fractures when he was struck by a line drive a day earlier in his start with the Royals. He was later transferred to the 60-day IL, but based on how he's fared thus far during his rehab assignment, Yarbrough looks like he could be ready to rejoin the Royals when he's first eligible for activation this weekend. Between one start in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and three at Omaha, Yarbrough has strung together a 2.55 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 20:2 K:BB in 17.2 innings. The Royals have confirmed starting pitchers for the first three games of their four-game set in Cleveland this weekend, but Yarbrough might be called upon to fill the opening Sunday.

Angel Zerpa RP | MIL
Royals' Angel Zerpa: Strikes out seven in rehab start
Zerpa (shoulder) covered 4.1 innings and struck out seven in his most recent rehab start Monday for Triple-A Omaha. He allowed four earned runs on six hits and two walks.
Zerpa has resided on the injured list all season while recovering from a tendon issue in his left shoulder, but he appears to be on the cusp of an activation. He's now reached the fifth inning in both of his last two rehab outings and tossed a season-high 80 pitches Monday. Altogether, Zerpa has compiled a 3.78 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB in 16.2 innings over his five starts between Omaha and Double-A Northwest Arkansas. If the Royals opt to have him forgo another rehab start, Zerpa could be a candidate to return from the 60-day IL to fill the opening in the big-league rotation Sunday versus the Rays.
