Williams earned the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Rays, allowing one run on a hit and a walk while striking out one in an inning of work.

Williams had some room to work with but did not make it easy on himself. He allowed a leadoff triple, and that runner that would come into score. He escaped more damage with a game-ending punchout with runners on second and third. Williams has now allowed a run in three of his last five outings, but his only blown save of the year happened back on April 25. He now has 17 saves to go along with a 4.69 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 54:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings.

Boyle (1-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing six runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out six in 3.1 innings.

Boyle faced minimal trouble through the first two frames and showcased his high strikeout upside by striking out the side in the second. Things fell apart from there, however, as Boyle went on to give up six runs while only getting four more outs. Boyle's shaky command resurfaced with three walks, but he'd shown an improved ability to find the strike zone coming into Tuesday with just six walks in 19 innings. He'll look to rebound at home over the weekend when the Dodgers come to town.

The Twins recalled Davis from Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday.

Davis will provide a fresh relief arm after the bullpen was needed to cover six innings in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox. The right-hander has permitted 14 runs (13 earned) over six innings at the big-league level in 2025.

The Blue Jays optioned Estrada to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Estrada served as the 27th man during Tuesday's doubleheader in Detroit, getting knocked around for six runs over 3.1 innings in the first game. The righty will return to the rotation at Buffalo.

Martin recorded his first career save in the Orioles' 3-2 win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, walking one and striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

With Felix Bautista (shoulder) on the injured list and with Gregory Soto Seranthony Dominguez getting traded in recent days, high-leverage roles are up for grabs in the Baltimore bullpen. Yennier Cano pitched the seventh inning in the Orioles' 16-4 win in the first game of the day, while Andrew Kittredge worked the eighth in the nightcap against the heart of the Blue Jays order before handing the ball over to Martin for the ninth. The 29-year-old right-hander was once a promising starting pitching prospect in the Houston system, but injuries have turned him into something of a journeyman. Martin doesn't quite have elite stuff as a reliever -- his fastball topped out at 97 miles per hour Tuesday, and his slider has a whiff rate of just 16.7 percent this season -- but interim manager Tony Mansolino is apparently willing to give him a look as part of the late-inning mix. Kittredge's usage Tuesday suggests he might be the favorite to handle the bulk of the save chances while Bautista is out, but he also might be the next arm shipped out before Thursday's trade deadline.

Hoffman (6-4) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Orioles, allowing one run on two hits in the eighth inning. He struck out one.

Brought in with the score tied at 2-2, Hoffman gave up back-to-back doubles to Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman to hand Baltimore the victory. Hoffman hadn't pitched in a week, but the extra rest did nothing to help his performance, and the right-hander sports a 5.00 ERA through nine innings in July despite a 1.11 WHIP and 12:1 K:BB, as much of the contact he's allowed has been hard -- five of the nine hits he's given up this month have gone for extra bases (three doubles, two homers). Barring a huge addition to the Toronto bullpen at the trade deadline, though, Hoffman's hold on the closer role appears secure as he's converted seven straight save chances, with his last blown save coming June 22.

Jansen picked up the save in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one.

The save was Jansen's 20th of the season, and he hasn't given up an earned run since his June 15 outing in Baltimore. Since then, the veteran right-hander has a 0.61 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB covering 16.1 innings as the Angels' closer. Jansen has been a rumored trade candidate ahead of Thursday's deadline, and it remains to be seen how a potential move might affect his fantasy value.

Stephenson (biceps) threw from 120 feet Tuesday and is slated to throw off a mound Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Stephenson recently expressed frustration about the slow pace of his rehab, but he said after reaching 120 feet during long toss Tuesday that his arm "turned for the better." The veteran reliever is now scheduled for a bullpen Wednesday, though he's planning to throw only fastballs in that session. Stephenson has appeared in just two games with the Angels so far this season, but if he doesn't hit any snags in his current rehab, he could be back with the team around mid-August.

Estevez earned the save Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to secure a 9-6 win.

Estevez was called upon to protect a three-run lead and handled the task with ease, working around a two-out single by Ozzie Albies to record his 28th save of the season. The right-hander sits tied for second in MLB in saves alongside Josh Hader. Estevez now holds a 2.56 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 37:16 K:BB across 45.2 innings in 2025.

Zerpa will serve as the Royals' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Zerpa owns a 3.77 ERA and 1.30 WHIP through 43 innings and has pitched primarily in middle relief this season, but the Royals will have him start his second game of the campaign after he previously served as an opener July 12 versus the Mets. The 25-year-old southpaw likely won't cover more than an inning or two before exiting the contest.
