Garcia blew the save during Sunday's 10-8 loss to the Mariners, allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two over 1.1 innings.

Garcia replaced Anthony Bass in a one-run game with two on and two out in the eighth. He got out of the inning by striking out Taylor Trammell, who hit a grand slam earlier in the contest, and he came out for the ninth with Jordan Romano and Erik Swanson presumably unavailable after pitching Friday and Saturday. Garcia walked the leadoff hitter in the ninth and surrendered a two-out, game-tying RBI single to J.P. Crawford before getting out of the frame. It was Garcia's second blown save in as many chances, and he likely won't get many additional opportunities with Romano the team's clear-cut closer.

Brash picked up the save during Sunday's 10-8 win over the Blue Jays, allowing one hit and zero walks across a scoreless 10th inning. He struck out two.

Paul Sewald pitched a scoreless ninth to send the game into extras, and with Andres Munoz (shoulder) still on the injured list, Brash was given his fourth save opportunity of the season after Seattle scored two runs in the top of the 10th. The right-hander was able secure his first save despite giving up a single to George Springer, and he recorded multiple strikeouts for a ninth time this season. Brash has three blown saves and has an ERA of 4.85, but his 26:5 K:BB through 13 innings is encouraging.

Duran picked up his sixth save of the season Sunday in an 8-4 win over the Royals after he came in to record the final out of the game.

Duran was not expected to be used Sunday after throwing 25 pitches while struggling with his control in Saturday's loss to the Royals. The Twins went into the ninth Sunday with a comfortable 8-2 lead; however, things became tighter than anticipated after Josh Winder allowed two runs. Duran was then called upon to close with runners on second and third and got Edward Olivares to fly out to end the game. The 25-year-old is now tied for fourth in baseball with six saves and should be ready if needed Tuesday with the Twins off Monday.

Lopez was removed from Sunday's appearance against the Rays due to fatigue in his bicep, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Lopez tossed 3.1 scoreless innings over his last three appearances but struggled during Sunday's outing, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk while failing to strike out a batter in one-third of an inning. It's unclear whether his bicep issue will force him to miss additional time, but he'll at least be able to recover Monday before the White Sox begin a three-game series against Minnesota.

Clase (1-2) allowed two unearned runs on two hits in one-third of an inning, taking the extra-inning loss to the Red Sox on Saturday. He was also charged with a blown save.

Clase's scoreless streak came to an end at seven innings with the shaky appearance. He'd converted all six of his save chances over that span. For the season, the closer is 9-for-11 in save chances with a 1.88 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB over 14.1 innings. It's not his usual level of dominance, but it's good enough to keep him in the closer role.

Chapman (1-1) struck out two in a perfect inning, earning the win Saturday versus the Twins.

Chapman faltered a bit during the team's last series in Arizona, allowing three runs (two earned) over 1.1 innings in two appearances, but he got back on track Saturday. The hard-throwing lefty has pitched well this season with a 1.74 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB across 10.1 innings. He's added a save and two holds. Chapman continues to be part of the late-inning mix, though Scott Barlow has seen the bulk of the closing duties on the rare occasions the Royals have a lead to protect.

Gott (0-2) took the loss in extra innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing an unearned run on two hits and a walk without retiring a batter.

Called on in a tie game for the second time in as many days, Gott once again faltered. Saturday, his troubles began immediately when he allowed a Vladimir Guerrero single that advanced inning-opening runner Bo Bichette to third base and then surrendered a game-winning single to Daulton Varsho after intentionally walking Matt Chapman. After opening the season with five straight scoreless appearances, Gott has now surrendered at least an unearned run in five of his subsequent eight outings.

Martin (shoulder) was activated from the 15-day injured list Sunday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Martin landed on the shelf with shoulder inflammation April 13, but he'll rejoin the Red Sox after one rehab outing with Triple-A Worcester. The 36-year-old has three holds with a 2.57 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 2:1 K:BB across seven innings this season, and he could be in the mix with John Schreiber for saves in the immediate future with Kenley Jansen unavailable Sunday and day-to-day with back tightness.

Rodriguez (oblique) will start a rehab assignment this week, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Rodriguez has missed the first month of the 2023 campaign while dealing with an oblique strain he suffered during Grapefruit League play. The left-hander will likely need at least a handful of games before he's ready to rejoin the Boston bullpen, but he'll be a welcome addition considering how many injuries the Red Sox pitching staff has dealt with in 2023.

Swanson (1-0) issued one walk and struck out three over a scoreless inning of relief en route to claiming his first win of the season in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Mariners.

Though the Blue Jays forked over outfielder Teoscar Hernandez to bring back Swanson and lefty pitching prospect Adam Macko from Seattle over the offseason, the veteran reliever has been well worth the acquisition price thus far. He hasn't allowed a run over his last eight appearances, collecting a win and five holds to go with a 0.60 WHIP and 14 strikeouts across 8.1 innings during that stretch.
