Misiewicz (1-2) allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks while striking out one in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Tigers.

Misiewicz loaded the bases in the 10th inning with a pair of walks, then allowed a walkoff single to Harold Castro. Through 12.1 innings with the Royals, Misiewicz has struggled, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 13 hits and four walks, though he's added 17 strikeouts. He's also picked up a win and two holds, but he's still little more than a low-leverage reliever.

Stephan (6-5) allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and a walk while striking out two in one inning to take the loss Tuesday versus the Rays.

Stephan gave up a two-run double to Harold Ramirez in the 11th inning, and Cleveland only got one of those runs back. Over his last 20 appearances, Stephan's given up runs just four times, though each of those instances have seen him tagged for multiple tallies. He's now at a 2.79 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 79:15 K:BB with 19 holds and a pair of saves through 61.1 innings.

Miller (1-1) earned the win during Tuesday's 5-0 victory over Seattle, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three in 3.2 innings.

Miller followed opener Jesus Tinoco with 3.2 scoreless innings -- the only trouble coming in the fourth after the first two Mariners singled, but he was able to retire the next three batters to escape the jam. The 27-year-old fired 42 of 66 pitches for strikes, with seven of the swinging variety, and rebounded nicely from a six-run clunker during his most recent major-league appearance, a short start June 15. In three appearances, Miller has surrendered six earned runs on 12 baserunners with three strikeouts across 6.2 innings.

Faucher picked up the save Tuesday in Cleveland, allowing an unearned run on a hit in a 6-5 extra-innings win.

Faucher entered the game in the bottom of 11th after the Rays scored twice in the top half. He allowed a one-out single that plated the automatic runner before retiring the final two batters to end the game and earn his first big-league save. The 27-year-old has shuttled back and forth between the minors and the Rays this year and, after a rough start to the season, has a 3.24 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB in his last 16.2 innings across 18 appearances for Tampa Bay.

Martin was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left shoulder strain.

Martin was previously listed on the bereavement list, but the move to the 15-day IL will end his season as the Rangers have just 10 games left this year. The 27-year-old lefty will finish the season with a 1-7 record and three saves to go along with a 4.14 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.

Mayers was designated for assignment by the Angels on Tuesday.

After Mayers gave up multiple runs in four of his last five appearances, bringing his ERA to 5.68 for the season, the Angels decided it was time to remove him from their 40-man roster. Now that he's been placed on waivers, there is room for Archie Bradley (elbow) to be reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

White is scheduled to make his next start Wednesday against the Yankees at Rogers Centre, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Following his call-up from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, White took the hill later that day against the Rays and took a no-decision in a 10-6 loss while allowing three earned runs on on five hits and one walk over four innings. Nicholson-Smith notes that White is currently slated for a standard start Wednesday, but the Blue Jays could change those plans and deploy him behind an opener depending on what their bullpen situation looks like following Tuesday's contest. Since being acquired from the Dodgers on Aug. 2, White owns an 0-4 record, 7.39 ERA and 1.67 WHIP across 35.1 innings with Toronto.

Howard (shoulder) covered five innings and struck out six while allowing three runs on four hits and no walks in his most recent rehab outing Friday with Triple-A Round Rock.

Making the third appearance of his rehab assignment, Howard tossed 63 pitches (44 strikes). The Rangers haven't outlined their next steps for Howard, but he looks like he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list and slot back into the big-league rotation at some point during the team's series this weekend in Anaheim. Before landing on the IL on Aug. 10 with right shoulder impingement syndrome, Howard had compiled a 7.41 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 32:15 K:BB in 37.2 innings with Texas.

Mayza (8-0) walked one batter in one-third of an inning Monday to record the win in a 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Yankees.

After Anthony Bass began the 10th inning and got the first two outs while also walking a batter, Mayza got the call from the bullpen and intentionally walked Aaron Judge to load the bases before getting Anthony Rizzo to ground out. Mayza was then rewarded for his brief performance when Vladimir Guerrero laced a walkoff single in the bottom of the frame. The lefty reliever has the most wins in the majors without a loss this season, and it's not even close -- the next-best unblemished record is a 5-0 mark held by a few different pitchers -- and Mayza's also supplied a 2.91 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB through 46.1 innings.

Akin was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

After giving up three earned runs over just a third of an inning Sunday, Akin will spend some time in the minors. He was in the middle of a career year -- recording a 3.40 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 76.2 innings -- but he will be sent to Triple-A nonetheless. Logan Gillaspie will be promoted to replace Akin in the Orioles' bullpen.
