Thielbar was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Saturday, retroactive to July 19, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Thielbar was effective prior to the All-Star break, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out six in 4.1 scoreless innings over his last four appearances. However, he's dealing with a hamstring issue that will keep him out until at least early August. Yennier Cano was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to take Thielbar's place in the bullpen.

Jimenez (shoulder) is set to throw a 25-pitch bullpen session Saturday and is scheduled to face hitters Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.

Jimenez's recovery from a shoulder strain has been on a steady uptick over the last couple of weeks, with Saturday's scheduled bullpen the latest example of such. If the right-hander emerges from Saturday's and Tuesday's activities without setbacks, it's likely he embarks on a brief rehab assignment shortly thereafter according to prior comments from manager Mark Kotsay.

Vest (personal) was reinstated from the paternity list Saturday.

Vest landed on the paternity list Thursday but will rejoin the Tigers after spending a few days away from the team. He's posted a 2.35 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 7.2 innings over six relief appearances since the start of July.

Martinez allowed zero runs on one hit and zero walks while striking out zero over one inning Friday against the Mariners.

Martinez entered the game in the seventh inning with the Astros up 5-1 and had little trouble retiring the bottom of the Mariners' lineup. The right-handed reliever now sports a 1.33 ERA and 0.81 WHIP with 24 strikeouts over 27 innings. Despite the strong performance on the season, he is buried in the Astros' bullpen, having seen just 13 total appearances since the start of June, and will likely continue finding save and hold opportunities hard to come by.

The Guardians plan to call up Pilkington from Triple-A Columbus to start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader with the White Sox, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Pilkington has often been the Guardians' go-to option for spot starts this season, as he'll be making his 12th appearance and ninth start Saturday despite having not been a full-time member of the rotation at any point in 2022. While starting in his last eight outings, Pilkington has produced a 4.84 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 32:20 K:BB in 35.1 innings. Since the Guardians plan on designating Pilkington as their 27th man for the twin bill, he's expected to immediately return to Columbus following Saturday's start.

Winder was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday due to right shoulder impingement syndrome, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Winder spent a month on the injured list earlier this season due to right shoulder impingement syndrome, but it's not yet clear how long his current IL stint will last. The right-hander hasn't pitched since being demoted to St. Paul in mid-July.

Luetge (3-3) earned the win over the Orioles on Friday, allowing one hit and striking out three batters over 2.1 scoreless innings.

Yankees starter Jameson Taillon struggled through 2.2 innings, and Luetge was brought in to relieve him with the bases loaded and two outs in the third. Luetge got Austin Hays to foul out to end the threat, and he went on to pitch two more clean frames, allowing just one baserunner. The southpaw has gone at least two innings in three of his past seven outings and has allowed only two earned runs while posting a 17:2 K:BB over 12.1 frames during that stretch.

Chapman allowed three runs on two hits and one walk while retiring only one batter (via strikeout) Friday versus Baltimore.

Chapman was brought in at a relatively stress-free point with the Yankees up 7-3 in the seventh inning. However, the veteran reliever allowed the Orioles to get right back into the contest, surrendering a single and a walk before serving up a three-run homer to Anthony Santander. Since returning to big-league action July 1, Chapman has given up at least one run in four of eight appearances and has posted an ugly 9.95 ERA and 1.74 WHIP over 6.1 innings. The strikeouts are still there -- he's fanned nine batters over that span -- but he's also issued seven walks and given up two home runs. Clay Holmes picked up his 17th save Friday and may have the full-time closer role locked up, but the Yankees would love to see Chapman figure things out given the loss of top setup man Michael King to a likely season-ending elbow fracture.

Hearn will likely be available as the primary pitcher Saturday in Oakland since Matt Bush will serve as the opener.

Hearn was initially listed as the probable starter for Saturday's matchup, but it appears as though his appearance will come as a bulk reliever instead. The southpaw returned to the major-league mound July 15 and allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in four innings against the Mariners.

Trivino gave up two earned runs on three hits -- including a home run -- and a walk while strikeout out one over two-thirds of an inning in a 5-4 win over the Rangers on Friday.

The Athletics closer was called upon to protect a three-run lead heading into the ninth but things unraveled quickly and Trivino was pulled from the game with the tying run at second base. He was relieved by A.J. Puk who notched his first career save. Trivino is arguably the weakest pitcher who regularly closes games at the major-league level and his days in the closer role could be numbered. The 30-year-old veteran has an abysmal 6.83 ERA this season and could be replaced by Puk if Athletics manager Mark Kotsay feels the need to shake things up.
