Manager Brandon Hyde said Voth will stay in the rotation following his start Friday versus the White Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. He allowed one run on a hit and two walks while striking out three in three innings in a no-decision.

Voth has started his last two appearances. though the three-inning outing Friday was his longest of the year. He threw 47 pitches (26 strikes) against the White Sox, so he'll still need to build up his pitch count over his next few turns through the rotation. He last functioned as a starter in 2020, though he's yet to have much major-league success regardless of role. The right-hander has a 7.81 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB in 27.2 innings between the Orioles and the Nationals this year, though he's been much more effective since arriving in Baltimore a few weeks ago. He's lined up for a road start in Seattle next week.

Soto tossed a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts in Friday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

It wasn't a save situation, but Soto was still called on to shut the door, and he looked sharp. Since allowing three runs and blowing a save back on June 16, the lefty has now logged consecutive scoreless appearances. Soto has his ups and downs, though he's mostly been solid with a 2.77 ERA and 13 saves in 15 opportunities this season.

Fairbanks (lat) will throw live batting practice on Monday before pitching in a Florida Complex League game Thursday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

The 28-year-old has been cleared to face live hitters and if all goes well Monday will advance to game action. Following the FCL appearance, Fairbanks is then expected to join Triple-A Durham for what's likely to be multiple rehab appearances since he's been sidelined since late March by the lat strain.

Manager Aaron Boone was impressed with how Loaisiga (shoulder) looked during Saturday's bullpen session, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Loaisiga has been sidelined with a shoulder injury for a month, but he threw off a mound for the first time Saturday. While Boone said that Loaisiga looked "great," the right-hander will require several bullpens and live batting practice sessions before he's cleared to begin a rehab assignment.

Chapman (Achilles) completed one scoreless inning for Double-A Somerset on Friday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter.

Chapman threw eight pitches in the outing -- five of which were strikes -- and sat at 96-99 mph on his fastball, per Mike Ashmore of MyCJ Sports. This was his first rehab appearance since he went on the 15-day injured list May 24. According to Meredith Marakovits of YES Network, Chapman had no issues in the outing and will throw again Sunday. That could put him in line to rejoin the Yankees next week.

Diplan was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

Diplan was recalled by the Orioles on Friday, but he didn't appear out of the bullpen during his brief stint in the majors. He'll head back to Norfolk, where he's posted a 0.87 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 20.2 innings over 15 relief appearances.

Sewald struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

Sewald picked up his second save in as many days with a drama-free ninth inning Friday. He's kept runs off the board in his last 3.1 innings, though his recent usage might make him unavailable should a save chance arise Saturday. He has a 2.70 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB in 26.2 innings overall while converting six of eight saves and adding four holds in 27 appearances.

Montero earned his fifth save Friday against the Yankees after not allowing a hit during a scoreless ninth inning. He had two walks and zero strikeouts.

Closer Ryan Pressly pitched the past two games and blew a save Thursday when he surrendered four runs in one-third of an inning, which opened the window for Montero to step in for the save Friday. The hiccup is unlikely to bump Pressly out of the closer role without further struggles, so Montero, who has a 1.82 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 30:11 K:BB over 29.2 innings this season, should continue to operate as the Astros' setup man.

Shaw (3-1) allowed three runs on two hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Friday versus the Red Sox.

Shaw worked in the seventh inning, but he allowed a two-run home run to Christian Arroyo and then put J.D. Martinez on base with a two-out single. Anthony Gose allowed the inherited runner to score, and the Guardians were unable to get Shaw off the hook as the veteran reliever took his first loss of the season. He's allowed four runs in his last three appearances since the end of his 8.2-inning scoreless streak. The 34-year-old has a 4.70 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 18:12 K:BB across 23 innings overall, and he's added four holds in 30 appearances. Given his recent shakiness, he could start to relinquish some of the high-leverage opportunities he'd earned earlier in the month.

Pivetta (8-5) earned the win Friday against the Guardians after giving up two runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and zero walks over seven innings.

The right-hander threw 66 of 98 pitches for strikes and generated only five whiffs, but he was able to limit the damage since only one of the nine hits he allowed went for extra bases. It's the third straight victory for Pivetta, and he has a 1.64 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across 22 innings during that stretch. He tentatively lines up for his next start Wednesday in Toronto.
