Zerpa was optioned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Sunday.

He didn't get into a big-league game during this latest stint. Zerpa had been missing more bats recently at Double-A, striking out 26 while allowing nine earned runs over 16.2 innings in his three most recent starts.

Banks was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Banks logged a 4.57 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 21.2 innings in the big-league bullpen earlier this year. He will provide bullpen depth following Aaron Bummer (lat strain) getting placed on the injured list.

Bummer was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a left lat strain.

It had not negatively impacted his performance, as Bummer has a 10-inning scoreless streak going over his last 12 appearances. Tanner Banks was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Cisnero (shoulder) has a swollen Achilles and won't pitch for 10-to-14 days, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

He was in the midst of a rehab assignment coming back from a shoulder injury when he suffered this setback. Cisnero should be considered out indefinitely.

Alexander (elbow) could come off the injured list to make a spot start Tuesday against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Tuesday will amount to a bullpen game for the Tigers either way, and it's unclear if Alexander will be a part of that or if he will head to Triple-A Toledo for a rehab assignment.

Soto picked up the save Saturday against the Blue Jays, allowing a run on two hits while striking out one and walking one.

Soto snagged his 13th save of the season Saturday against the Jays. He had a scare in the ninth inning after allowing hits to Gabriel Moreno and Cavan Biggio, followed by an RBI single from George Springer. However, the veteran reliever kept his composure and escaped without allowing additional damage. His ERA increased to 2.05 after the outing, but Soto appears to have a clear hold on the closer role in Detroit.

Brieske (1-5) earned a win against Toronto on Saturday, allowing no runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking none in 5.2 innings.

Brieske earned his first win of the year Saturday, throwing 56 of 89 pitches for strikes. It was his first game of the season in which he did not allow either a walk or an earned run. The young righty has steadily improved his ERA over the last three games, as it now sits at 4.34 thanks to a 1.54 ERA in two June appearances. He'll look to keep things going in the right direction in his next appearance.

Morgan (2-2) blew the save and took the loss Saturday against the Athletics, allowing three unearned runs on two hits and zero walks while striking out two over two-thirds of an inning.

Morgan entered the game with the lead but gave up a go-ahead grand slam to Seth Brown in the bottom of the seventh inning. Despite letting four runners cross the plate, the righty reliever escaped without an earned run and now has gone 11 straight appearances without allowing an earned run. Although he took the loss and blew the save, Morgan lowered his ERA to 1.91.

Robles (1-2) was handed the loss and blown save during Saturday's 7-6 defeat at the hands of the Mariners, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning. He failed to record a strikeout.

After Boston took a one-run lead in the top of the ninth, Robles was brought in for the save opportunity. The 31-year-old recorded the second out with two runners on but surrendered two more singles to lose the game and suffer his league-leading fourth blown save. Matt Strahm and Tanner Houck have recorded the last three saves for the Red Sox, and Robles may not get many more ninth-inning opportunities if other pitchers perform better in the closer role.

Winder (shoulder) will make another rehab outing after throwing 30 pitches Friday in one inning with Triple-A St. Paul, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

It's possible Winder may need an additional rehab outing or two as the team talked before about building him up slowly before he returns from the injured list. He gave up two runs with three strikeouts and one walk in his one inning of work Friday.
