  • Devin Williams RP | NYM

Yankees' Devin Williams: Secures 10th save

Williams earned the save in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Orioles, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Aaron Boone indicated Friday that Williams would share save opportunities with Luke Weaver, but it was Williams who got the call to protect a two-run lead in the ninth, needing just 14 pitches to close it out. Over his past 10 appearances, the 30-year-old has been a perfect 6-for-6 in save chances with a stellar 11:0 K:BB. While his season line remains an underwhelming 5.08 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB across 28.1 innings, his recent dominance has certainly positioned him as a strong ninth-inning option.

  • Athletics' Anthony Maldonado: Moves back to Triple-A

The Athletics optioned Maldonado to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

Maldonado will head back to Las Vegas without having made any appearances out of the Athletics bullpen following his promotion Thursday. The Athletics will replace him on the 26-man active roster with right-hander Jack Perkins, who was called up from Triple-A.

  • Yankees' Yerry De Los Santos: Gets promising news from tests

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that testing on De Los Santos' right elbow showed "nothing acute or new," per MLB.com.

De Los Santos landed on the IL on Thursday due to right elbow discomfort. The righty reliever subsequently underwent testing, the results of which Boone described as "good news." Boone added that De Los Santos could resume throwing "in pretty short order," so for the time being it appears that the hurler isn't looking at an extended absence.

  • Danny Coulombe RP | TEX

Twins' Danny Coulombe: Working as opener

Coloumbe will serve as the Twins' opening pitcher Sunday against the Brewers, Audra Martin of Fanduel Sports Network North reports.

The left-hander will make the second start of his MLB career and first since 2021. Coulombe has been effective in a high-leverage role this season with two saves, two holds and a 0.46 ERA over 19.2 innings, but he'll given Minnesota an inning or two as an opener Sunday before turning the game over to the bullpen. David Festa was previously penciled in to start Sunday and could follow Coulombe in a bulk role.

  • Jake Palisch RP | CHW

White Sox's Jake Palisch: Returns to Double-A

The White Sox optioned Palisch to Double-A Birmingham on Sunday.

The 26-year-old was promoted Friday by Chicago and made his MLB debut a day later, giving up two earned runs over one inning. Palisch will now head back to Birmingham, where he has a 1.17 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 36:15 K:BB across 16 appearances (seven starts) this season.

  • Orioles' Yaramil Hiraldo: Moves up to majors

The Orioles recalled Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

He'll join the bullpen as a replacement for Yennier Cano, who was optioned to Norfolk in a corresponding move. Hiraldo received his first big-league call-up in late May and tossed 1.1 scoreless innings in his lone relief appearances before being sent back to Triple-A a few days later.

  • Yennier Cano RP | BAL

Orioles' Yennier Cano: Dispatched to Triple-A

The Orioles optioned Cano to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

An All-Star in 2023, Cano took a step back statistically in 2024 and has continued to see his performance trend downward in 2025. Though he's still tied for second on the team with 11 holds, Cano had been working mostly in middle relief since the beginning of June and owned underwhelming ratios (4.73 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) over 30 appearances. After seeing action Friday and Saturday, Cano was unlikely to be available for another day or two, so the Orioles elected to send him to Triple-A in favor of a fresh relief arm in right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo.

  • Tigers' Joseph Montalvo: On shelf at Double-A

Double-A Erie placed Montalvo on its 7-day injured list June 6 due to an unspecified injury.

The 23-year-old right-hander produced a 4.50 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB in 44 innings over 11 appearances (10 starts) for Erie before landing on the shelf following his most recent start June 4. The Tigers haven't provided word on the nature of his injury, nor has the organization offered up a timeline for his return to the Erie rotation.

  • Mitch Spence SP | ATH

Athletics' Mitch Spence: Tagged for four runs in loss

Spence (2-2) took the loss against Cleveland on Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings.

Spence's downfall was the second frame, when he gave up all four of his runs and six of his eight hits. Outside of that, he notched three 1-2-3 innings and just two singles. The four runs were a season-worst mark for Spence, who came into Saturday having allowed just two runs over 17 frames across his previous four starts. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to be a tough road matchup versus the Yankees.

  • Emmanuel Clase RP | CLE

Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Cruises to 17th save

Clase earned a save against the Athletics on Saturday by throwing a perfect ninth inning without striking out a batter.

Clase needed just 12 pitches (eight of which were strikes) to retire the side in order and protect a two-run, ninth-inning lead. The veteran closer was effective despite not notching a strikeout for just the second time over his past nine outings. Clase's 3.58 ERA is well above his career norm, but he's still recorded 17 saves, tied for sixth-most in the majors.
