Hernandez (0-2) was saddled with the loss after surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two across 4.2 innings Monday against the Orioles.

Hernandez cruised through four scoreless frames before running into trouble, allowing all six of his runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Monday's outing was his worst of the young season for the right-hander, who has allowed three or more runs in each of his first five starts. Hernandez will carry a 7.15 ERA and 1.90 WHIP into his next scheduled start, which tentatively lines up for Sunday in Colorado.

Bummer (knee) believes he can return from the injured list in the minimum 15 days, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Bummer will be eligible to return May 22 and seemingly has a chance to do so, but it's unclear whether his optimism is shared by the White Sox organization. He wasn't at his best prior to the injury, as he struggled to a 4.91 ERA and 1.73 WHIP in 11 innings.

Martinez will make his MLB debut Tuesday, as he's scheduled to be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to start the nightcap of a doubleheader against Detroit, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Martinez came over from the Padres in early April as part of the return for Sean Manaea. He's struggled in five starts for Las Vegas this season, posting a 7.45 ERA and a 10.3 percent walk rate, though he's at least struck out 28.7 percent of opposing batters.

The Rays recalled Faucher from Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Faucher will head to the big leagues for the first time in his career after the Rays cleared a spot for him by optioning Ralph Garza to Durham. The 26-year-old right-hander will give Tampa Bay another multi-inning option out of the bullpen after he recorded more than three outs in all but three of his 11 outings in the minors this season. During his time at Durham, he accrued a 5.02 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB in 14.1 innings.

Barria (1-0) earned the win over Washington on Sunday by pitching two perfect innings during which he struck out two batters.

Barria entered in the eighth inning with the Angels down by two runs. The right-hander breezed through the frame and retook the mound in the ninth, retiring all six batters he faced between the two innings on only 23 pitches. Barria was then credited with his first win of the campaign when the Angels put up three runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk away with the victory. The 25-year-old is enjoying a strong season in a relief role, posting a 1.98 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB over 13.2 innings.

Brash was credited with his first hold in Triple-A Tacoma's win over Salt Lake on Sunday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run, an additional hit and two walks over two innings. He struck out three.

Just demoted from the big-league club Thursday, Brash was solid in his first minor-league appearance of 2022, albeit while displaying a hint of the control issues that led to him being cast off the Mariners roster for the moment. Brash is slated to remain in a bullpen role with the Rainiers for the time being as he acclimates to the Triple-A level and Pacific Coast League specifically -- the 23-year-old jumped to the majors directly from Double-A when he made the Opening Day roster coming out of spring training.

Munoz fired a perfect seventh inning in an extra-inning win over the Rays on Sunday, striking out the side.

Munoz was close to absolutely perfect, tossing just four pitches over the minimum and getting 12 of those 13 offerings into the strike zone. The hard-throwing right-hander had put together six straight scoreless efforts until allowing a pair of earned runs over his last two appearances, so Sunday's stellar showing represented a return to the impressive form he's displayed the majority of the season.

Sewald (1-1) was credited with the victory in an extra-inning win over the Rays on Sunday, firing a scoreless 10th inning during which he allowed a walk and recorded a strikeout.

Sewald showed no residual effects from his first stumble of the season Friday, when he'd taken the loss by allowing three earned runs on three hits over an inning to these same Rays. The right-hander bounced right back with a sharp 13-pitch outing that saw him get nine of his offerings into the strike zone. Manager Scott Servais' willingness to turn right back to Sewald in a high-leverage scenario Sunday is certainly a welcome sight for fantasy managers.

Kelly (biceps) was activated off the 10-day injured list Monday.

Kelly will join the White Sox ahead of their three-game series against the Guardians on Monday. The right-hander had been nursing a biceps strain since last October, but after signing with the team in the offseason, he'll finally be available to make his debut for Chicago in the coming days. In 48 appearances with the Dodgers last season, Kelly produced a 2.86 ERA and 0.98 WHIP while striking out 50 batters over 44 innings.

Bummer (knee) was placed on the 15-day injured list as expected Monday.

Bummer hadn't pitched since Friday, so the transaction can be backdated two days, leaving him eligible to return May 22. It's not entirely clear whether or not he'll be able to do so, especially with the White Sox now referring to his injury as a strain rather than merely soreness. Joe Kelly (biceps) returned from the injured list to take his place in the bullpen.
