Naughton was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Naughton was promoted from Triple-A last week and allowed a run on two hits with a walk and zero strikeouts in one inning during his major-league debut. He could rejoin the big-league club down the stretch, especially once the minor-league season ends.

Thielbar (4-0) walked one and struck out one without allowing a hit or a run in 1.1 innings, earning the win Wednesday over the White Sox.

Thielbar continued the good work of starter Bailey Ober, and the former was rewarded when Jorge Polanco hit a solo home run for the only scoring play in the contest. Since the start of July, Thielbar has allowed eight runs in 13 innings, although all of those runs have come in just three of his 13 appearances. He's logged a 3.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 55:15 K:BB while adding seven holds across 43.1 innings this season.

Colome walked one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the White Sox.

Since retaking the closer role at the start of August, Colome has pitched 5.1 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and two walks in his last six appearances. He has just two strikeouts in that span, but he's also converted five of his seven saves this month. The right-hander has a 4.12 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 38:18 K:BB through 43.2 innings overall, but he should remain firmly in the ninth-inning conversation with no guarantee Taylor Rogers (finger) will return this season.

Lopez allowed a hit and two walks with four strikeouts over three scoreless innings in a no-decision versus Minnesota on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old was making a spot start after Carlos Rodon (shoulder) was placed on the injured list. Lopez pitched well, throwing 30 of 51 pitches for strikes while covering the most innings of any Chicago pitcher in the contest. He's mainly worked out of the bullpen this season with a 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB across 20 innings. It seems more likely Lopez will return to the bullpen rather than stay in the rotation long-term.

Thornton was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.

Thornton served as the 27th man in Tuesday's doubleheader, and he'll remain in the bullpen after he allowed a run on a hit and no walks in one relief inning Wednesday. Right-hander Patrick Murphy was designated for assignment as part of a move to make room for Thornton.

Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Rodriguez served as the 27th man Tuesday and made his second major-league start in the first game of the doubleheader against the Blue Jays. He allowed a run on six hits and two walks while striking out two in four innings but didn't factor into the decision. He'll return to the minors but is a strong candidate to rejoin the Angels at some point following his strong start.

Edwards (oblique) will shift his rehab assignment to Low-A Dunedin on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

Edwards started up his assignment July 31, working a scoreless inning that day for the Blue Jays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. After a week-and-a-half-long hiatus, Edwards is ready to make his next appearance. Because Edwards has been on the 60-day injured list since mid-June, he'll likely require several more outings in the minors before being activated.

Zimmermann (biceps) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list in time to make his next turn through the rotation, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Zimmermann made his third rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday and allowed two walks in five hitless innings. The right-hander has been on the injured list with biceps tendinitis since mid-July, but he tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Boston on Sunday.

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash said Feyereisen (biceps) could begin a rehab assignment early next week in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

The rehab assignment will be contingent on Feyereisen coming out of his live batting practice session Friday no worse for the wear. Feyereisen posted a 2.42 ERA and gathered three saves and three holds in 21 relief appearances for Tampa Bay before landing on the injured list in late July with right biceps tendinitis.

Double-A Wichita moved Woods Richardson to its development list Tuesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

One of two prospects the Twins acquired from the Blue Jays in the July 30 deal that sent Jose Berrios to Toronto, Woods Richardson has yet to debut for his new organization after he played for Team USA in the Olympics. The 20-year-old looks like he may have to wait a while longer to do so, as the Twins may want to work with him to refine his mechanics after a string of poor outings at Double-A New Hampshire prior to being traded. Over his final five starts with the affiliate, Woods Richardson posted a 10.18 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB in 20.1 innings.
