Iglesias recorded two strikeouts and didn't allow a baserunner over 1.1 frames to record the save in Saturday's 1-0 win against Oakland.

The right-hander entered with two outs in the eighth inning and the tying run on second base, but he quickly escaped the jam and retired the side in order in the ninth. Iglesias continues to pitch well for the Angels after a rough start to the season, and he has a 1.93 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 51:5 K:BB in his past 27 outings. Overall he's 22-for-27 in save chances this season and features a 38.6 percent strikeout rate.

Barria (2-0) earned the win Saturday versus the A's after giving up four hits and a walk over 6.2 innings. He recorded three strikeouts.

Barria surrendered only two hits through six frames, and he was pulled with two outs in the seventh after Oakland loaded the bases on two singles and an error. It was the right-hander's second straight turn through the rotation, and he's pitched well in both outings with only two runs allowed across 13.2 innings to notch a pair of victories.

Garcia lasted only one inning in a start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday after giving up four runs on six hits -- including three homers -- and one walk.

Garcia was the leading candidate for a big-league rotation spot early in spring training and has made two starts for the big club this season, but he hasn't shown any progression in the minors. The right-hander has posted a 7.41 ERA along with a problematic 61:39 K:BB across 54.2 innings at the Triple-A level. Given the Yankees' recent addition of Andrew Heaney and the eventual return of both Luis Severino (elbow) and Corey Kluber (shoulder), Garcia may not get another shot in the majors this season.

Clase secured his 13th save of the season Saturday against the White Sox, allowing two hits with one strikeout in 1.2 innings.

Clase entered the game with one out in the eighth inning with Cleveland on top 12-11, and he recorded the final five outs of the contest. It was just the third time in 45 appearances this season Clase has had to work more than a single inning, but he came through with his sixth consecutive scoreless appearance. The 23-year-old has posted a sparkling 1.85 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 43.2 innings in 2021 while converting 13 of 17 save opportunities.

Scott was removed from Saturday's win over the Tigers with a knee injury, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

The 27-year-old entered for the ninth inning with the Orioles leading 5-1, and he was pulled after issuing two walks and hitting a batter. He was charged with one earned run, but Cole Sulser stranded the other two baserunners. Scott should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated.

Alcala (3-5) allowed one hit and zero walks with two strikeouts through two scoreless innings of relief, getting the win in Saturday's 8-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Nobody's happier to see the calendar flip to August than Alcala. The right-hander had an ERA of 9.72 over nine appearances in July before logging six outs against the Cardinals to nab his third win of the season Saturday night. This outing should work to boost his confidence.

Bolanos (elbow) was cleared to begin a rehab assignment with the Royals' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday.

Bolanos has been on the injured list since mid-June with a strained right elbow, but he looks like he's finally ready to ramp up again. The right-hander isn't eligible to return from the 60-day injured list until mid-August, so he'll likely make at least a few rehab start across multiple affiliates before being reinstated.

Edwards (oblique) began a rehab assignment Saturday with the Blue Jays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, striking out two over a perfect inning.

Edwards resumed game action after he was shut down for nearly six weeks with a left oblique strain. He'll likely move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Buffalo within the next week or two and should be ready to rejoin the Blue Jays when first eligible to return from the 60-day injured list in mid-August.

Rogers is still receiving opinions on his left middle finger sprain, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said Saturday that Rogers has received an opinion to not have a procedure on his finger, and he's currently leaning toward that option. However, he'll visit with additional doctors before settling on a path forward. While the Twins haven't announced a timetable for the southpaw's return, the team doesn't sound optimistic that he'll be able to get back on the mound in 2021. Alex Colome and Tyler Duffey are candidates for ninth-inning work after Hansel Robles (illness) was traded to the Red Sox on Friday.

The Orioles plan to activate Akin (COVID-19 protocols) on Sunday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

Akin was eligible to return Wednesday, but he has required a bit of work to get back in pitching shape. Manager Brandon Hyde said the lefty will pitch out of Baltimore's bullpen going forward.
