Crochet will be limited to single-inning outings going forward and will not pitch back-to-back days, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The flame-throwing lefty has only made two appearances of more than an inning this season, and he's yet to pitch on consecutive days. Crochet clearly has the talent to be an oft-utilized, high-leverage reliever, but the White Sox appear to be conserving his arm for the time being.

Misiewicz secured his 11th hold in an extra-inning win over the Athletics on Monday despite allowing two earned runs on a hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning. He also recorded two strikeouts.

Misiewicz had quite the eventful outing, putting on the first two hitters he faced via a walk and single before recording back-to-back strikeouts. Both runners would eventually come around to score with JT Chargois on the mound, marking the fourth time in May that Misiewicz was charged with multiple earned runs in an appearance. However, he continues to be a workhorse/holds machine for manager Scott Servais, with the southpaw now having logged a career-high 24 appearances, including five in the last nine days of May alone.

Vest secured his sixth hold in an extra-inning win over the Athletics on Monday, firing a perfect seventh inning during which he recorded a strikeout.

Vest fired five of nine pitches for strikes during a highly efficient frame, one that marked his first appearance since May 19 after a 10-day stint on the COVID-19 injured list. The right-hander has three holds in his last four trips to the mound, but he's also proven a bit erratic, having surrendered multiple earned runs in three of his last six outings.

Montero fired a scoreless ninth inning in an extra-inning win over the Athletics on Monday, allowing two hits and recording two strikeouts.

Despite the fact that it wasn't a save situation, Montero's assignment was still of the high-leverage variety, considering that he was asked to preserve a 4-4 tie. The right-hander did so despite first creating a bit of trouble for himself by yielding back-to-back singles to Chad Pinder and Tony Kemp. Montero has had quite the rollercoaster season, converting just seven of 12 save chances, pitching to a 4.81 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 24.1 innings, and seeing his strikeout rate plummet from 2020's 27.9 percent to a 19.4 percent figure through his first 24 appearances.

Sandlin struck out one in a perfect inning in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader versus the White Sox.

The right-hander pitched well in the seventh inning to keep the game tied at 6-6. Sandlin has a 3.27 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB across 11 innings since he was called up on April 30. He's limited opposing batters to a .174 BABIP, and his 2.11 FIP suggests he could continue to find success, which could lead to more high-leverage work. Sandlin has yet to take a decision, and he's only added one hold in nine outings.

Balazovic (back) is expected to be activated from the 7-day injured list to start for Double-A Wichita at some point this upcoming weekend, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.

Balazovic suffered a back injury during spring training that forced him to begin the minor-league season on the injured list. However, after remaining sidelined throughout the month of May, the right-hander is on track to take the ball this weekend for Wichita.

Morgan is slated to start Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Cleveland will stick with Morgan for a second turn through the rotation after he was touched up for six runs on eight hits and two walks over 2.2 innings in his MLB debut Friday against the Blue Jays. In addition to facing one of baseball's top offenses, Morgan had the misfortune of pitching through miserable weather in Cleveland, as gusty winds and rainy conditions likely had a hand in his lack of success. He'll be granted a mulligan for the rough debut outing, but Morgan may need a stronger showing Wednesday to stick in the rotation on a longer-term basis.

Triple-A Norfolk placed Phillips on the 7-day injured list Tuesday due to an unspecified issue.

The 26-year-old right-hander likely picked up the injury during his May 27 relief appearance. Phillips has been hit hard in five games for Norfolk in 2021, giving up seven earned runs on seven hits and four walks over 5.1 innings.

Alexander started Monday's game against the Brewers and pitched one scoreless inning. He allowed one hit and struck out two.

Detroit gave Alexander his first start of the season in place of Jose Urena (forearm), and he wasn't allowed to work very deep in the game after not going more than three innings in any of his relief appearances so far. Alexander made 10 starts for the Tigers across the last two years, so he does have some experience in the rotation. He could get stretched out a bit more if he sticks as a starter while Urena is out, though the latter could be back as soon as Sunday.

Maton (1-0) got the win in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the White Sox after allowing a hit and punching out two in a scoreless sixth.

Maton allowed a leadoff double to Yoan Moncada but was able to take care of the next three hitters to get out of the inning with no harm done. The 28-year-old earned both his first win and hold of the year while lowering his ERA to 6.75 to go along with a 26:9 K:BB over 17.1 innings.
