Anderson (3-0) was credited with the win in a victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday, firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he allowed a hit and recorded a strikeout.

Anderson continues to mow through the opposition at a highly efficient clip, with Saturday's 17-pitch effort the latest evidence of such. The right-hander got 14 of those offerings into the strike zone while serving as the setup man behind Oliver Drake, who subsequently recorded his second save. The 29-year-old Anderson has three consecutive scoreless outings and has already amassed five holds along with his three victories since his trade-deadline acquisition from the Marlins.

Lakins struck out three over two scoreless innings to open Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Yankees.

The Red Sox are getting by with three healthy starters and large bullpen cast for the final month of the season. As such, there may be several multi-inning opportunities for Lakins over the final weeks of the season, although his pedestrian strikeout numbers (6.8 K/9) do not suggest much in terms of fantasy value.

Garcia pitched one inning for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, giving up five runs on two hits and four walks.

Garcia tossed only 13 of 33 pitches for strikes and allowed a three-run homer in the 17-2 thrashing. The 20-year-old was moved to the bullpen late in the season in anticipation of a possible September callup to the big club, but the transition has been far from smooth as he has allowed 11 earned runs in 8.2 innings between the regular season and playoffs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre was eliminated from the postseason with the loss, so Garcia will need to be brought up to the Yankees or sent down to Double-A Trenton if he is given the opportunity to pitch again this season.

Rogers struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save Saturday versus the Indians.

Rogers needed only 10 pitches to retire the bottom of Cleveland's order. The left-hander has converted 25 of 31 save chances with a 2.45 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 80:10 K:BB through 62.1 innings.

Robles struck out one in a perfect ninth inning against the White Sox on Saturday en route to his 20th save of the season.

Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Robles retired Yolmer Sanchez, Ryan Goins and Tim Anderson in order on 17 pitches. The saves have been few and far between lately -- this was just his fourth save in the last six weeks -- but Robles has pitched brilliantly when given the opportunity. He would seem to have locked down the closer job for 2020.

Covey (1-8) allowed seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four over 2.2 innings in a loss to the Angels on Saturday.

Shohei Ohtani touched him up for a homer and Covey has now given up six long balls in his last 13.1 innings at the major-league level. Covey, who got the start Saturday over Ross Detwiler, had had good numbers with Triple-A Charlotte this season (2.82 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), and it makes sense that the White Sox would want to give him one last chance to prove himself. Until he shows something more against top-level hitters, however, Covey can't be considered a viable fantasy option.

Kay struck out eight while allowing two runs on four hits with three walks across 5.2 innings in a no-decision in his MLB debut against the Rays on Saturday.

The former Mets farmhand looked sharp in his first major-league outing, recording nine swinging strikes and 13 called ones. He's always been a strikeout pitcher, but yielding only seven baserunners and two runs is probably as good of a debut as the Blue Jays could have hoped based on his minor-league WHIP and ERA. If he stays in the rotation, he'll face the Yankees next at home Friday.

Hernandez was charged with three runs (one earned) on two hits over 2.2 innings in a no-decision against the Orioles on Saturday. He struck out three batters and walked two.

This was Hernandez's fourth career appearance and first career start. He pitched three times out of the bullpen following his Aug. 20 promotion, allowing one run while fanning five in 5.2 innings. It's been an encouraging start to his major-league career after Hernandez posted an ERA north of 5.00 at Double-A before joining the big club (96 innings). The 23-year-old righty has a good fastball/slider combo and looks like a pitcher to keep an eye on, but Hernandez is not fully stretched out and it's not clear if he will remain in the rotation.

Hill recorded the final five outs with one walk and two strikeouts to post his first save of the season in a 7-2 victory over the Marlins on Saturday.

Hill came in with two aboard and one out in the eighth inning and quickly induced a double play. After the Royals added an insurance run in the ninth to increase their lead to five, Ned Yost stuck with Hill for the ninth, where he retired three straight batters after a leadoff walk. Hill is 2-0 with seven holds, a 3.86 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 30.1 innings this season.

Treiner (back) pitched a scoreless inning, striking out all three batters he faced in Saturday's 10-2 win over the Tigers.

Treinen was called on to pitch the ninth with the Athletics holding a large lead, and he retired Jake Rogers, Willi Castro and Harold Castro in order. He needed only 13 pitches -- 10 strikes -- to complete the inning. Treinen's back issues had kept him out of action since Sept. 3, and it may limit the reliever's usage going forward, but he was at his best Saturday. The 31-year-old has a 4.71 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 57.1 innings this season.
