Jurado allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision Friday against the White Sox.

Jurado squandered an early 2-0 lead, ceding a three-run home run in the second inning, before retiring 10 of the 11 final batters he faced. He's allowed a homer in each of his seven starts since joining the rotation. His body of work as a starter has been largely good though, record four quality starts in six trips to the mound with only one bad outing heavily skewing his 4.44 ERA.

Colome walked one over a scoreless 10th inning to pick up the save in Friday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Rangers.

There's nothing flashy or dominating about Colome, but the 30-year-old has yet to blow a save this year, successfully converting all 16 of his opportunities. His 2.15 ERA and 0.68 WHIP seems likely to rise once the luck runs out on his .104 BABIP, however.

Lopez allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over 5.1 innings to take a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday.

Lopez was lit up early for runs in each of the first two innings, including two home runs, before finishing up with 3.1 scoreless frames. The right-hander entered the game with the highest ERA among qualified starters (6.31) after allowing 25 runs over the previous 25.1 innings, and he didn't do much to improve it Friday. Lopez's next start comes Wednesday on the road against the suddenly hot Red Sox.

Thornton allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings Friday in a no-decision against Boston.

Thornton surrendered a run in the third and another in the seventh before departing with a three-run lead. Unfortunately, his team couldn't hold on for the victory. The 25-year-old right-hander has now turned in back-to-back quality starts, and he sits with a 4.25 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 87:38 K:BB over 82.2 innings.

Hand allowed a run on two hits but managed to lock down the save Friday night against the Tigers.

Hand entered the ninth with a two-run lead, though he did surrender a run on an RBI single to right field prior to slamming the door. Heading into Friday's contest, the 29-year-old hadn't yielded a run in 14 straight appearances, proving his dominance this season out of the closer's role. Hand owns a 1.11 ERA and 0.77 WHIP with a 47:8 K:BB over 32.1 innings this season.

Chapman picked up the save after allowing a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Friday night against Houston.

Chapman entered Friday's contest with a three-run lead, though the Astros put up a fight before falling 4-1. The leadoff batter walked to begin the frame, and the tying run stepped to the plate with two outs, but Chapman managed to fan the final hitter to secure the victory. The 31-year-old southpaw continues to rack up the saves, as he now sits with 21 on the season after converting nine of his last 10 opportunities.

Santiago agreed to a minor-league contract with Chicago on Friday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Santiago became a free agent Wednesday after being designated for assignment by the Mets, as his time on the open market didn't last long. He struggled to a 6.75 ERA with six strikeouts over eight innings this season with New York, and he'll report to Triple-A Charlotte after linking back up with Chicago -- the team he made his big-league debut with in 2011.

Manaea (shoulder) felt strong during Thursday's 60-pitch simulated game, and he could embark on a rehab assignment within the next week, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Manaea fared well in his sim game, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the southpaw head out on a rehab stint shortly. He's been on the injured list since the beginning of the 2019 season after undergoing shoulder surgery in September of 2018, so he'll likely require a lengthy stay in the minor leagues before being activated.

Scott was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

Scott spent a couple weeks in the majors in April but was sent back to the minors with a 6.75 ERA and 12:8 K:BB over 6.2 innings. The 24-year-old figures to fill a low-leverage bullpen role for the Orioles as long as his control issues persist.

Phillips was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

Phillips was recalled from Norfolk prior to Thursday's game and returns to the minors after allowing one run on two hits over one inning. The 24-year-old has a 7.79 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB in 16 games in the majors this season.
